Lake View in the Gold Coast
The Thompson Hotel is in the heart of the Gold Coast - nestled along Bellevue, near Lake Michigan, and very close to all the shopping favorites. The hotel offers valet parking for convenience and welcomes you with a distinguished, professional atmosphere. The Tavern on Rush is a connected restaurant offering convenient dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Across the street are more excellent dining options, such as the Luxbar and the Original Pancake House. Chicago’s favorites, Lou Malnati’s Pizza and Gibson’s Steak House, are just a short walk. If your room sits on a high floor facing East, you can expect a promising and rewarding Lake View. Our double queen room was exquisite - and the bath, shower, and shower amenities were top notch. This hotel is sure to capture the value with a priceless sunrise! Enjoy!

Air conditioner not working
Loved getting to meet Ahmad, Myron, Natalie, and Verdell. Great service at the front. But the air conditioner wasn’t working well in the room even after telling the front desk. Got very poor sleep over the three nights i stayed because of it. The lobby also had a slight sewage smell. But service was superb. We stayed in 1802 March 26-29
