Reviews for Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa

Simply brilliant!

As always, an outstanding experience at Lucknam and the new Walled Garden restaurant. As a regular visitor of the previous brassiere, it’s fantastic to see the way that the new team have elevated not only the physical decor of the restaurant but the service is now a different level (despite it previously being very good). A demonstrable impact of the new leadership team now in place, I’m sure. The food was superb, service outstanding and vibe spot on. We love the relaxed yet professional experience given - a hard balance to achieve, but the team at Lucknam have done a superb job. Overall, simply outstanding!

Do not visit

Walled Garden Restaurant - very disappointing birthday lunch for my Mum. Was meant to be a celebratory lunch for a memorable occasion. Unfortunately this was overtaken by a terrible experience. Service was non existent and when it did happen the tone was very rude and not welcoming at all. When we 1st arrived, we were the 1st to arrive for a midday lunch. 3 people in the bar area ignored us and we waited about 5 minutes before the hostess even turned up. When she did there was no warm welcome but instead a cold and quite rude experience. It continued to go downhill from there. At no time could we find staff to help us for drinks, wrong items, cold coffees, no cutlery etc etc, the list is long. Overall the whole experience was so awful it ruined what should have been a wonderful birthday lunch. I felt really upset and let down. This was my first time and quite frankly the last. When we did complain nothing was done. It could have been an opportunity to turn things round, but absolutely nothing was done. Can only say for the price and experience it is not worth a visit. Such a shame as the setting is absolutely gorgeous

Perfect Manor in British Countryside

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

My husband and I visited Lucknam Park for the weekend during our European vacation to the United Kingdom and France. We were looking for a getaway in the British countryside. The grounds were beautifully manicured gardens, and we loved biking through the grounds on trails. The service was fantastic, especially the wait staff at the Walled Garden Restaurant and Daniel who offered to take our photo while we checked out. Couldn’t recommend Lucknam Park enough if you want a trip to the countryside.

Lovely Hotel in a Grade II Listed Building

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights from 10 to 12 May. This is a very lovely property with beautifully restored and maintained buildings. Massive outdoor grounds for gardens, horses (available for guests to ride) and privacy. The town of Colerne is not a party town, but if you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place to be. We did a day drive trip to Stonehenge and Salisbury from here so you might want to plan some drive trips yourself if you prefer to do more sightseeing. Every staff we interacted with were just lovely, friendly and helpful. The One Michelin Star restaurant on the property was great, quite an occasion, so do dress up as the other guests do. I would recommend this hotel if your budget allows and you can plan your itinerary around this.

Best hotel with Spa in England

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Best hotel experience I have had. The service was outstanding, Daniel looked after us wonderfully on our arrival and exit. The Spa facilities are the best I have been so far in England, and the Estate and countryside is simply breathtaking. We will definitely come back soon. Thank you to the wonderful team for making us feel at home.
