Construction - avoid this hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

I recently booked 7 nights across 2 rooms at this hotel for a special occasion. I was concerned at the price of USD1300pn (thirteen hundred per night) but given the importance I went ahead. Having flown a long way and been jetlagged I felt assured I'd at least have a quiet sleep while staying there. However, with loud hammering and construction in the room above me, perhaps assembling furniture or redecorating the room from 7am-11am, I was less than pleased and let the front desk know of this. I received a call in the evening to be informed there is no construction currently in the hotel (incorrect as my friends were warned of it), and I must have heard a guest nearby packing. Unless this involves hammers and lasts 4 hours, I don't agree - i responded. Would $100 credit be ok? Honestly, if you think I'm lying about this then no. I can confirm the concierge team are helpful in organising restaurant bookings and making recommendations. However I won't be staying here again.

Not up to Four Seasons Standard at all

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Not Four Seasons standard. Just checked out. Book hotel car to airport. It is 90 degrees outside and the A/C IN THE CAR DOES NOT WORK!!! It is an oven in here! How is that even posible? Other issues: Before I came to the hotel, I tried calling to verify some things. The line just rang and rang. I had to call FIVE times and eventually, on the 6th try I got the operator (who was nice). When she tried to transfer me to the front desk, I got cut off. Called back, same thing. On my EIGHTH try I got a man at the front desk who was totally not helpful with any of my questions regarding my reservation. Cometely blew me off. The other thing: While the courtyard garden is beautiful, it was full of people smoking. How is that possible at a Four Seasons? Unfortunately, my wife and I ended up spending zero time there. The stay itself was fine, but not up to the requisite standard. Oh yeah. The sink never drained properly despite multiple calls to the front desk and visits from engineering.

Four Seasons is ok.

The hotel is clean and there are aspects that are very good. The rooms need an upgrade/renovation but the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Concierge was excellent (Julio) and the food in Mexico City was great! We used an incredible tourguide who is originally from Chicago but who has lived in Mexico for 20 years -- she was cool and new all of the best local spots and she gave us impeccable historical/architecture tour as well as a TACO TOUR. Her name is Lydia Carey and she is @mexicocitystreets on Instagram.

Four Seasons CDMX is the closest thing to perfection in a hotel

You will be hard pressed to find the level of sheer bliss outside of the Four Seasons in Mexico City. YES, it is absolutely gorgeous, well-maintained, and clean as a whistle. HOWEVER, the PEOPLE working at this place are exceptional. Their level of service and attention to detail is beyond measure and inspiring quite frankly! Claudia, Alejandra, Patricia, Ana (so sorry if I missed anyone!) are so incredibly helpful and never bothered to make your life easier. I had a special client I was sending to the Four Seasons and their service was incredible in helping make that happen. SPLURGE and stay here you will NEVER regret it!

Once again, exceptional stay!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Returning for our second stay at the Four Seasons Mexico City, our experience once again exceeded expectations, solidifying our love for this exceptional hotel. Situated in a prime location, the hotel offers easy access to all the city has to offer, making exploration effortless. The architecture of the building is also very unique in a city full of modern hotels with no charm, Four Seasons stands out with its indoor courtyard. The hallmark of our stay was the impeccable service provided by the dedicated staff. Special mention goes to Paola, the concierge, whose proactive assistance and attention to detail ensured we secured reservations at some of the city's most coveted spots, including Maximo Bistro, Contramar, Handshake Speakeasy, High Five bar just to name a few. Her prompt responses and expert itinerary planning greatly enhanced our stay. The spacious rooms, adorned with city views from the 7th floor, provided a serene retreat after a day of exploration. For those seeking a different ambiance, the indoor courtyard offers a charming alternative. Additionally, the hotel's bar, Fifty Mils, proved to be the perfect spot for pre- or post-dinner drinks, while the Sunday brunch at Zayana was an absolute highlight not to be missed. The warmth and hospitality extended by the front desk further added to the overall exceptional experience. Whether for a short and long term stay, the Four Seasons Mexico City consistently delivers on its promise of luxury, comfort, and unparalleled service. We eagerly anticipate our next visit to this remarkable hotel, as this is from now on our go to hotel when visiting Mexico City.
