True to Six Senses' philosophy of selecting remote yet accessible destinations in areas of outstanding natural beauty, Six Senses Con Dao enjoys a breathtaking setting in a protected national and marine park. The first five-star resort in Vietnam's archipelago islands, it is contemporary in design and reflects the essence of a traditional fishing village. Six Senses Con Dao was part of our 11 day trip to Vietnam covering Four Seasons The Nam Hai in Hoi An along with Hotel Des Arts in Saigon. SS is on the tropical island of Con Dao nestled on its own bit of beautiful coastline/ bay. It is totally stunning and blends into the landscape. Having been picked up at the small airport we were met at SS main reception by lots of waving staff, true White Lotus style. Our GEM was Annie who catered for all our needs. We had plumped for a one bed pool villa next to the beach, just a few steps down. The villa is a lovely size, well appointed. You are given two bikes to get around on each with your names on, or you can walk or buggy. Every member of staff throughout is polite and welcomes you daily with Xin chao. There are two restaurants, by the beach that does breakfast and dinner. Stunning views. And by the market which is more Vietnamese food but you can still have a table overlooking the bay. To be honest both are fantastic but thought the food at by the market was probably the best. Everything tasted so fresh. Lots of the vegetables and fruits are from SS as you see patches of land growing them throughout the site. You can also have other food options, we had in room dining, but chefs table etc also available. Lots on offer. We went on two trips. One covering the prisons and local life on the island which was harrowing yet needed to be done. After this trip we were so pleased with our guide Viung (I think pronounced Vung) that we asked her to do our second trip which was a hike up the mountain. It reads as intermediate but is more like mountaineering. No flat parts, just going up rocks and through jungle. Holding onto ropes. But when you got to the top the view is stunning. And Viung was a true pleasure to have guiding us. Informative, funny and a true asset to SS. I’m certain SS have other great guides but would always ask for her again. The spa was excellent hidden away yet set amongst winding pathways and boardwalks over the lakes and ponds. The beach is huge at low tide and still a good size at high tide. Devoid of stones. Just crabs everywhere. Funny to watch. As I mentioned all the staff were lovely. What we found particularly nice was the general manager Manjit being on site and available every day. Not hiding behind his team. Very proud of what SS is about and how they help the community. But a lovely guy to speak to. Not up himself, very down to earth. All in all I would revisit Con Dao SS at a drop of a hat. It is pure luxury. Very laid back. I think if you were looking to dress up in the evening, you can do it, but it’s the sort of place you can go to dinner in shorts or laid back attire so not everyone dresses up if that makes sense. Finally we were lucky to see the last turtles released which was a fantastic finish to our trip. If you have read this, do not hesitate to book. Enjoy

Our first trip to Vietnam at Six Senses Con Dao was a positive experience. The resort is efficient and the standards are high Food was the most important part for my family 😃 We wanted real Vietnamese flavors and the kitchen delivered exactly that, really enjoyed “Hoi An night cuisine” I noticed the chefs and restaurant team was working under very high pressure. Even with this heavy workload, they did their best to serve us well. I respect that hard work. Lucy was our super coordinator. She was very well organized and thoughtful. She only came to us when we really needed something, which gave us great privacy 😍 our children were happy and busy. This allowed my wife and me to finally have some quiet time to relax. One small point is the nature. The villa, the rooms design is beautiful but the wind can be very strong. During our last nights, it was quite noisy when we tried to sleep. If you need total silence, you should be aware of this. Overall, the stay was successful and this was a good choice for a family.

My wife and I made Six Senses Con Dao our last stop on our 2 week Vietnam adventure, and boy are we happy we did!! The hospitality, the sustainability , and the overall experience was truly memorable. We would change nothing From getting picked up at the airport, to the detailed and friendly service at meals, the impeccable spa, we were wow’d at each turn. We swam in the ocean, the pool, hiked the local mountains, and took a scooter to explore the island. Our GEM, Annie, took detailed care at every step of our visit, always making sure we were cared for and enjoyed! Thank you to all the staff and Annie for making our stay so fantastic! At our last meal at the property, we were already looking at other Six Senses properties to visit and figure out when we would be able to come back to Six Senses Con Dao.

My wife and I spent our Honeymoon here and we loved every minute. The hotel was beautiful, the private beach was second to none, the food from both restaurants was to die for but most importantly, the staff were kind, cheerful and extremely helpful. Annie was our "Gem" who made sure we were looked after 24hrs a day. Vincent made the best cocktails and the spa team were incredible. We definitely will be coming back with our kids soon.

An unforgettable stay at Six Senses Con Dao. The resort is stunning, but what truly made the experience exceptional was the team especially Huy, our Experience Manager, whose care and attention to detail were outstanding. Marcos, Chi, and Vay were all warm, professional, and genuinely kind, making us feel truly looked after throughout our stay. Exceptional service in a truly beautiful place.
