True to Six Senses' philosophy of selecting remote yet accessible destinations in areas of outstanding natural beauty, Six Senses Con Dao enjoys a breathtaking setting in a protected national and marine park. The first five-star resort in Vietnam's archipelago islands, it is contemporary in design and reflects the essence of a traditional fishing village. For complete peace of mind, arriving guests can arrange their domestic round-trip flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Six Senses Con Dao by contacting the resort's reservations department.

Where do I start! This really is the most special and incredible resort. Not just because of its location but also the absolutely amazing team. We arrived on my partner's 40th Birthday as part of a surprise trip to Vietnam. On arrival we were met by the General Manager and Team, the first of many happy birthdays! We were then introduced to our GEM Guest Experience Manager (Anh). What a wonderfully kind and lovely person. A real asset to the resort. I am not exaggerating when I say that she essentially did everything she could to make the most special stay - it was like having our own PA. We were super lucky to catch a batch of turtles being released into the sea - a real highlight if you are there at the right time. The food was incredible, we mainly ate at the "Market" which was Vietnamese cuisine, most of it grown locally. We even took a cooking class with one of the chefs! We went snorkelling and were met on the beach on our return by our GEM who had already organised drinks in our room. There were tears when we left and the team waved us off.. We tried hard to think of anything negative about this resort and the team at all but have struggled - it was pretty much perfect.

My girlfriend and I spent the last four days of our 3 wk Vietnam trip at the Six Senses in Con Dao, and it surpassed even our wildest expectations. It's a small, gorgeous island with big deserted beaches and beautiful mountains. I have regularly traveled around the world over the last 40+ years, and can truly say this was one of the most special places I've ever stayed at. What a combination – spectacular setting, delicious food, beautiful villas, comfy beds, an array of optional activities, an outstanding spa facility (best massage of my life) , and the best service I've ever experienced. I must mention our personal concierge/butler, Annie, by name as she is second to none! Her anticipatory attention and genuine care to our every need made our trip here one that we will never forget. I will be back!!

⸻ My stay at Six Senses Con Dao was truly special, the experience was serene, beautifully designed, and deeply connected to nature. My villa felt like a private sanctuary, with a stunning ocean view and a peaceful pool that made it effortless to unwind. The staff were warm and attentive throughout my stay, and my GEM, Annie, went above and beyond to make every moment feel thoughtful, personal, and seamless. I felt like I could ask for anything I needed while there and it was absolutely no bother to anyone. Everyone on staff is very friendly, welcoming, and it feels very genuine! So many lovely small personal touches. The spa was the highlight for me, I went a few days in a row. The treatments were incredibly relaxing, the therapists were skilled and intuitive, and the setting itself felt like a calm refuge tucked into nature. The space and building alone is an architectural wonder. I found myself looking forward to going every day. If you’re seeking a luxurious yet soulful and sustainably-minded retreat, I can’t recommend this resort enough.

First off the location is amazing. It’s basically in a national park with a private beach. The beach is the most beautiful I’ve seen in Vietnam. Teams of staff spend hours cleaning it from the early hours of the morning. The beachfront villa is amazing. Upstairs is a living room with balcony while downstairs is a bathroom, shower and lounging area. I spent a lot of time in the private pool on the ground floor with regular dips in the beautiful beach. It’s the kind of place best enjoyed with a loved one. Al thought there was a solo female traveler at the resort who seemed content. There are a number of couple orientated free activities. We did the body scrub, planting and bio hack ones. Good ways to amuse yourself between relaxing and swimming. I’d also recommend the walk to the elephant mountain. Be warned you have to walk along the main road and walkers are scarce among the cars, military vehicles and motorbikes. You teach a trail then it’s a very steep walk uphill. I’m in my 50s and had to pause a few times to catch my breath. Food is very fresh, tasty and super pricey as you would expect. Vietnamese people staying at the resort felt the food was a bit westernized but I liked it. Breakfast is included for all guests and worth devoting a couple of hours to indulging. My one criticism of the resort is that they mistakenly gave my friend a glass of rocket fuel instead of what they ordered. I don’t know everything they put into this drink but includes vinegar and a lot of citrus. My friend got badly ill from this mistake and had to leave breakfast and lie down. I asked for food to be brought to the room later in the day when they had rested. I would think the resort would comp food for such an error. However, they billed us for a coffee and croissant which we refused to pay. They eventually ended up comping it but then refused to comp four spring rolls an hour later as My friend was still hungry. In fact they kept chasing us for the spring roll bill at the final breakfast which seemed heavy handed. A silly bit of over attention to billing when the hotel could have been liable for serving food by mistake to people with allergies and making them grossly sick. I put this down to management in training. Hopefully they will read this and realize it was a silly thing to haggle over.

Wow. Just got back from 4 nights at Six Senses Con Dao with my wife and daughter and it was just amazing. We feel totally recharged. The best part is the people. Our GEMs, Tu and Marcos, were fantastic. I got a bit sick for a couple days amd they went completely out of their way to help. I mean the whole staff was checking in, they brought me camomile tea, just... really amazing. They really care. Also, my wife is pregnant and they noticed right away and moved us to a 1-story villa so she didn't have to use stairs. So thoughtful. The villa was huge and all natural wood. Loved the outdoor shower and it felt super private, you cant see your neighbors. The only small issue was a damp smell in the closets, but it's a humid island, so... we told them and I'm sure they'll fix it. Food was great. We ate all our meals there. They grow their own mushrooms and eggs, you can taste the quality. We have a daughter with a nut allergy and this is super important: they were SO careful. We felt 100% safe. The chef checked on us, the staff always remembered. For our last night they set up a private dinner on the roof. Very special. My only complaint? As a coffee-lover, the morning espresso/cappuccino wasn't great (but the local vietnamese coffee was good!). My daughter loved it. The kids club was nice... but the best part was the real stuff. She got to plant seeds and collect eggs from the chickens. AND we got to release baby turtles into the sea!! An incredible memmory. The beach is perfect for kids too, very shallow and safe. A lifeguard is always there. And the spa... wow. It's built in the forest over a stream. I had a massage with a visiting specialist, Dome Srisawat. I've had a lot of massages, this was maybe the best ever. It wasn't just a normal massage, he did some energy work... I felt like a new person after. Amazing. It's incredible they can provide this level of service in such a remote place (on a protected island). It's the perfect place to get away from it all and just be in nature. (The wifi was really fast too, which was a surprise). We will be back for sure. Thank you to the whole team!
