Best hotel in Coronado!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 months ago

I will start with the checkin process, being a Hilton Gold I requested for a upgrade. The front desk lady was very sweet, she first told that it will be a paid upgrade but later was able to make it complimentary somehow.. Rooms and hall way were brand new and shining, we just loved the white themed design of the hotel, it was so beautiful! The hotel is new so everything looks great but the housekeeping is also fantastic... Location is just awesome, you get a direct access to beach and that part of the beach is also not so crowded.. Only issue is with parking because it's at the back of the hotel bt otherwise this is truelly a mind blowing hotel, especially in the US because a lot of good hotels here are getting old and dated so getting into a brand new hotel was refreshing and sweet :) ...

Great experience on Thanksgiving Day!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 months ago

My family of seven had a relaxing and beautiful stay at the Shore House Oceanview 2 Bedroom Villa during Thanksgiving day for one night. Stephanie and Javier at the front desk went out of their way to serve us and fulfilled all but one of requests (we wanted our outside fireplace fixed but unfortunately no technicians showed up to fix it). Javier did great in getting us extra towels and had our trash picked up in a timely manner. Stephanie ended up giving us a $400 credit towards our room since the fireplace was not working. The Ocean Concierge club access is incredible. We loved the food! I was particular impressed that housekeeping came to our room to turn down our beds, wash our dishes in the kitchen sink and asked if we needed anything. Also, we got a call to ask how our stay was going. Recommend the Shore House for sure! The views and huge balcony are not to be missed. We will be back for sure.

Not worth the price

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 months ago

For the extravagant price at this luxe style hotel, it misses so many marks. At $1K+ a night you expect top notch service and not to be nickle and dimed for every little thing. Absolutely zero is included! Most 5 star hotels include various activities includes. For example, their valet charge is extreme at $75 a day and self parking is quite a hike away so with a family it is not ideal. They charge for fitness classes, blankets, and even charge for a sad continental breakfast. Service is severely lacking for a luxury hotel - front desk seem to be clueless about most happenings at the Del and pool service seem to forgot about you Beautiful property and room but not worth the price

Valet, Pool and ladies at the front desk

I wanted to recognize exceptional service from the valet at Shore House. From the minute we drove up, we felt welcomed and treated like royalty and during our time there with trips on the golf cart to dinner, offers to retrieve coffee for us when the little coffee truck was out of creamer, loading and unloading our car, getting the vehicle in a super timely manner every time, and even giving us water before we drove away, Jason, Nick, and Tony are the reason we will come back. Danette was also super friendly! These young men are the first people that clientele see and they are so much fun and so welcoming to the guests. They are professional, and you can see clearly that they enjoy their jobs. They deserve recognition and a raise! They do the most work there. They run vehicles, they load and unload luggage and run it to and retrieve it from rooms, they converse with clients, they run the golf cart to get people places, and, specifically these three, they do it with joy! Honestly, can’t speak highly enough of them. I hope management realizes the kind of workers they are and how lucky they are to have them. Regarding rooms, they are beautiful and a very comfortable stay. Regarding management, we had a rough time when we addressed excessive noise above us and were “explained to” by Michael that noise can come from many things, although it was clearly the people and their kiddos above us after midnight. We got very little sleep for two nights of our stay, which is very sad to me for what we were spending to stay in the three bedroom ocean front. I didn’t feel warmth or a welcoming attitude whatsoever, but rather a cold, too professional and less personal approach. He said he would let the people know the next day, but we had a repeat of the same level of noise the following night until 1am. So request top floor next time-was my takeaway from that experience. He isn’t a bad person, he was enjoyable to talk to after he saw that I was really sad to not be sleeping much. So I wouldn’t want to seem unkind, but I think that could’ve been handled better. The front desk ladies are lovely and were very welcoming and walked us through the room to explain all the amenities. Front desk gentleman told me I could carry my luggage piece by piece because I couldn’t use the luggage cart due to liability. I thought maybe he could call someone to help me being that I was alone with kids. He was not very kind and not helpful. Not exactly the level of service one would expect here. Breakfast was delicious, but not included in cost. Pool staff was amazing! One server from Danville, I didn’t see his name, was a sweetheart! He was so welcoming and so was David. They made pool time lovely! Overall, great place thanks to the wonderful employees!

Wonderful Family Vacation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 10 months ago

This was our first time to Coronado and we went back and forth between staying in the Views at the main hotel and here. We were so happy with our choice. The Shore House is beautiful and so clean. It really felt like a private boutique hotel even though it’s so close to the very busy main resort property. We also loved the beach front pool that’s exclusive to Shore House guests and the complimentary beach chairs were a nice touch. We felt all of the staff was accommodating and so helpful - particularly Jasmine and Sophia. We hope to visit again soon!
