Absolutely perfect
Absolutely perfect. A holiday with my mum and my two young kids, 1 and 3 years old - they loved every moment as well as me somehow finding it relaxing. Food was superb at every restaurant; the atmosphere was laid back, child-friendly yet classy, and the service was fantastic - all whilst feeling authentically Cretan; and Calum on the bar is absolutely beautiful. We can't wait to come back for our third visit one day. Thank you x

Beautiful hotel, dinners disappointed
The hotel is really really lovely. Rooms are great and beds super comfy. Breakfasts are exceptional. The area isn’t great but there is plenty going on in-season to mean you don’t need to leave the hotel. But the one major disappointment is the food. It’s not cheap to eat or drink here but the quality is very average. We left dishes untouched because they just weren’t very nice. We also ate in the local tavernas and the food was better and half the cost.

For sure NOT 5 star & 20 cats & no lift, laughable service
Short drive from the airport - safe gated. Beachfront (rocky not sandy at the hotel) but a short walk around the bay for the sandy beach. Made welcome upon arrival by Concierge staff - happy with our free lemonade (?!) until she told us they have 20 adopted cats on site. Shown to our Signature Room (upgrade from broom cupboard) which was "compact". We had to leave our suitcases on the balcony. No face flannels, no turndown, no minibar replenish etc. I had to clean our room one day - which I took to Reception: Mr Malliotakis (Rooms Division Manager) was very sorry. Jet2 had sold us B&B. Euros86 for 2 buffet dinners. We upgraded next day to All Inc for Eur 128 pp pday. The staff were either amazing (Olga at Mezze) or dire (Eva at Buffet). Think Fawlty Towers in Crete! We ate at the Italian one night, were shown to our table & then waited 15 mins. Carpaccio was delicious. My shrimp risotto was tepid. At clearing, Mr Grumpy asked why I hadn't alerted him - because we were invisible - he said he'd take it off our bill - oopsie All Inc! No lift - hard when you just had surgery on your feet. call bell for service at beach was broken. Ikos, we're on our way again...

Exquisite Cretan experience
If you want to experience exquisite luxury while still feeling the authentic Cretan vibe, Phaea Cretan Malia Park is the perfect place. We loved it so much that we went back three times. The facilities are outstanding – modern yet blending perfectly with the lush greenery, pools, shaded areas, and the sea just a few steps away. Everything feels calm, well thought-out, and inviting. But the real star of the show is the food: fresh, flavorful, and with an authentic Cretan touch that makes every meal unforgettable. From breakfast to dinner, it’s a true culinary journey. This hotel manages to combine comfort, authenticity, and luxury in a way that feels effortless. Highly recommended!

Luxury & authentic experience
We’ve been coming to Phaea Cretan Malia Park for three years in a row and absolutely love it! Very family-friendly, with kind staff, delicious food, a beautiful beach, and amazing pools. We’ll definitely return again!
