I never expected the hotel to be one of the highlights of our trip to Cusco but it was! From the moment we arrived service from every staff member was wonderfully sincere and immediately helpful. The breakfast with its varied selection of food was an excellent way to begin the day, and the bar area with the best Pisco Sours was a relaxing way to end the day. It was an easy short walk to the town plazas. Our room was clean and comfortable and we appreciated the extra touches like having an outlet adapter available. I looked forward to my time reading in the courtyard as a way to wind down from a full day of sightseeing.

After few inquiries got this place under recommendation. Due to need for muscle relaxation and depression I went with Kallpa Maki as massage. With Carmen being my therapist. Few days later, I have returned for wellness, as well. Which did not disappoint, neither. Have to say that rarely I had so complete muscle relaxation and detox massage. Starting gradually Carmen always asked about her next move and the lvl. Of pain endurance. I feel so sorry for pushing her so much with strength and endurance. Have to say that I a not an easiest person ti massage. Nonetheless, massage was excelent, information good and staff professional. Cannot come up with any constructive criticism. Therefore, passing this recommendation to You, guys.

I don't typically write reviews but after staying at the JW El Convento in Cusco before and after my Inca Trail hike, and having an amazing experience, I felt compelled. The hotel is a converted convent so it's not a cookie cutter hotel. What you do have is a unique hotel that goes above and beyond to cater to their guests. They quickly knew our name and welcomed us back from after our hike by name after having been gone for 4 days. The food was amazing and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The first morning we showed to breakfast after the buffet had ended. I expected nothing but instead they went back to the kitchen and quickly made something for us. Not expected and pleasantly surprised. My wife enjoyed a pleasant facial in the spa. While not large the spa still had a heated pool, jacuzzi, and steam room. Questions were always pleasantly answered and late checkout was accommodated the morning after returning from an exhausting hike. Finally, my son's favorite. They often have a baby alpaca in their courtyard for kids, and kids at heart, to pet and take pictures with. Nice touch. Overall, just a very pleasant experience. Chris

Stayed here for 6 nights and can’t say enough about the property. This is truly a 5 star hotel. My fare included wine tasting, cooking clases and a historical tour of the property. The hotel is walking distance from the gorgeous Plaza de Armas, great restaurants, shops, etc. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Air conditioning, water pressure and temperature were all great. Breakfast options were great. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed.

One of the best hotels I've ever experienced. A hidden treasure blended with beauty and luxury with a modern lifestyle touch, tucked away in a city rich in culture.

Of the many fine attributes of the JW Marriott Cusco, the blending of historical architecture with modern comforts and high design is most unusual and perfectly executed. From the soft lighting to the rich dark woods and stone in the public areas, the understated atmosphere distinguishes itself as belonging uniquely to the Cusco property. And that holds true all the way to the lower levels where the lovely spa is intimately nestled. Not only was the staff properly warm, friendly and bi-lingual, but equally important highly skilled at their duties (which is surprisingly not always the case in fine hotels).
