Stunning hotel
This hotel is truly beautiful and the service was exceptional. There is water refill station in the lobby and a hot tea station. The location is super convenient. The breakfast had a lot of options with a station making eggs to order. We had a few needs while we were there including a doctor and they were handled really well. The doctor arrived with 20 minutes and diagnosed a sinus infection within 5. The highlight was the baby alpaca in the courtyard every morning. It was so sweet you could pet it. The ladies with the alpaca were very patient with photos. So much easier to get the perfect shot. I could have watched Panchita all morning.

Our group of four stayed three days at this beautiful hotel in Cusco. The staffs were courteous and friendly, especially the front desk personnels. Our ladies got the altitude sickness. The hotel sent the attendant to check and provided oxygen therapy which helped lessened the symptoms. Shout out to Sebastian for your great service and politeness. We decided to rest a day at the hotel, enjoying the massage and the steam/sauna rooms. In addition to the service and the ambience, the foods were excellent, from the breakfast to dinner and the light meals. Highly recommended!

Cusco Convent Gem
Beautiful old convent conversion in Cusco with piped oxygen to bedroom. Modern decor, lovely spa/pool area. Had a wonderful dinner and 2 breakfasts here. Note: Tuna at buffet is a type of vegetable in Peru.

Quite cozy
We spent two nights here while visiting Machu Picchu. The suite was spacious and comfortable, though a bit dim because of nearby buildings. Checking in was smooth, and we were greeted in the lobby with coca tea, which eased our adjustment to the altitude. The town area is easily accessible by foot, and breakfast was satisfying. The hotel also offers complimentary airport transfers.

This place does not respect your time at all
Luxurious hotel with great pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room, but check in was extremely slow. Friendly service, but a waste of time. This hotel should respect the time of their guests. There is no need to explain everything about the hotel. No guest books a hotel knowing nothing about it. Just process check in quickly and hand over the key card asap. Also, there is very little signage throughout the large building. For example, there is zero signage pointing to the pool, to the lobby, to the dining area, etc. You'll be wasting time wandering a lot at first. Breakfast has a large selection, but there is no self serve coffee or hot water. You have to waste time waiting for one of the waitors to come by to bring these over and they only seem to walk by very rarely. For context, all other drinks are self serve. Again, this place just does not respect your time at all.

Of the many fine attributes of the JW Marriott Cusco, the blending of historical architecture with modern comforts and high design is most unusual and perfectly executed. From the soft lighting to the rich dark woods and stone in the public areas, the understated atmosphere distinguishes itself as belonging uniquely to the Cusco property. And that holds true all the way to the lower levels where the lovely spa is intimately nestled. Not only was the staff properly warm, friendly and bi-lingual, but equally important highly skilled at their duties (which is surprisingly not always the case in fine hotels).
