This is my second time staying at the JW Marriott in Cusco and my stay wasn't as good as before. Reason being was the food. The breakfast buffet had many choices but the food just wasn't tasteful. For dinner, there weren't many choices on the menu. I remember when I was here before (2018), the food was much better and there were more choices. Otherwise my room was comfortable, sleep quality great, and housekeeping was good. Employees were friendly. The hotel is located about a 5 minute walk to Plaza de Armas. Be sure to take the free tour of the hotel at 6pm daily, very interesting!

My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay at the JW Marriott El Convento, Cusco. This hotel is a masterpiece of restoration, seamlessly blending the history of the 16th-century convent with world-class modern luxury. The attention to detail in preserving the original stone walls and colonial architecture is incredible. It feels like staying in a living museum, but with all the comforts of a high-end luxury hotel. While we were there, the hotel had a tour every evening. We found it very interesting learning more about the history and restoration of the historical building. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff is professional, warm, and goes above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable. The room was nice and clean although a bit on the small side. Breakfast each morning was a delight, featuring a wide variety of local and international options in a beautiful setting. It is at a good location, close enough to walk to some sites, many restaurants, and shops, yet the hotel remains a quiet and serene escape from the bustle of the city.

Beautiful hotel, great staff (Thank you Fernando/Management and George/reception) and excellent food. Great tour provided by staff in the evening of the hotel history built on a convent and inca + pre-Inca ruins well maintained & preserved in the basement - a UNESCO site! Oxygenated rooms, nice touch tea in the courtyard, daily activities that include interaction with local Peruvian women, weaving and cute resident alpaca "Panchita"!!

Very decent hotel in the center of Cusco. Historical building that used to be a catholic convent but you can also the remnants of an old Inka wall in the lobby. Pros: - Location - historical building with a beautiful courtyard - amenities ( pool, spa, gym) - good breakfast buffet Cons: - unstable WiFi - rooms will soon need a refresh especially the bathrooms

Hotel had a great location, but was not comparable to other hotels carrying the JW brand. No gym, no executive lounge, pool was closed, bar area was not comfortable. For the price you are paying, the room was extremely small. As a Marriott titanium member, I was unimpressed with the service for my 5 nights at this hotel.

One of the best hotels I've ever experienced. A hidden treasure blended with beauty and luxury with a modern lifestyle touch, tucked away in a city rich in culture.

Of the many fine attributes of the JW Marriott Cusco, the blending of historical architecture with modern comforts and high design is most unusual and perfectly executed. From the soft lighting to the rich dark woods and stone in the public areas, the understated atmosphere distinguishes itself as belonging uniquely to the Cusco property. And that holds true all the way to the lower levels where the lovely spa is intimately nestled. Not only was the staff properly warm, friendly and bi-lingual, but equally important highly skilled at their duties (which is surprisingly not always the case in fine hotels).
