Fairmont Dallas could be so much more, but unfortunately having previously travelled to many Fairmont’s throughout the world and a platinum Accor member this does not live up to the usual Fairmont standards. We booked a Gold room with lounge access, we were told at check in that they were unsure if it was open, I was told no explanation and that I would receive a call in my room if it was closed, I received no call after one hour so tried to access the lounge and it was locked. I went back down to Reception and I was then told it would be locked until the following evening and they would offer me vouchers for canopies if I wanted!! I’m not sure if the staff understand why most guests book Fairmont gold but as advertised is a hotel within a hotel usually nice surroundings to have a drink and relax in a more peaceful environment not just to eat canopies. Please don’t sell a service that you cannot offer. The first room we were given was near the lift shaft and the room started to vibrate which made it impossible to sleep, we had to change rooms at midnight which took well over one hour because of luggage. I was told the next day by a lift engineer that the lift was faulty and they should never have put any one in that room. I have to say the hotel manager on duty that night did his best to help me. I tried to use my Accor loyalty free drink vouchers on the AP in the bar and the staff had no idea saying I need paper copy, I went through the process on what they had to do but still said I was wrong , please train your staff, I ended up having to speak with a manager again who finally resolved, The next day the gold lounge opened we went for breakfast and every cooked item was cold, because non of the heaters were on, the food was cooked and then just left to go cold. We went for breakfast in the main restaurant which was very good. Tip for management understand why people book the gold lounge, inform bookings before arrival if you can’t offer the service, don’t book guests into rooms that you must have had complaints from previously because of noise. Positive’s duty manager and bar manager were all really helpful when I needed assistance but unfortunately this is one Fairmont I won’t be visiting again.

Sad old building. Peeling wall paper elevator in south tower halts to close. Made me nervous I would get stuck. No pool or drink service at pool. Pool very rundown. I have stayed at the fairmont in Boston it had a charm this location doesn’t. I’m disappointed

From the moment I arrived at the Fairmont Dallas, I was treated to the most courteous and welcoming experience. Customer service is the cornerstone of the luxurious stay at the Fairmont. The front desk, valet and most notably Concierge were of the most professional quality I’ve encountered in my many years of travel. Excellent!
