The location of this property is excellent, which was a big plus for my stay. However, the hotel itself feels quite tired and definitely needs updates to bring it into 2025. There were no accessible outlets for charging devices, so I was glad I planned ahead with portable chargers. The carpet and furniture were outdated and worn, which detracted from the overall experience. I stayed on the 12th floor, and unfortunately, the ice machine was not working—this was quite inconvenient. For the price, the stay was okay, but it didn’t meet my expectations for a Fairmont property.

I was really impressed by my whole experience , from check in to check out. The staff was friendly, informative, and personable. Our concierge, Thaddeus Darrel was more than accommodating. He brought up our luggage, even hanging my jacket up in the closet for me. He saw that we had brought our own drinks, and ran out to get us a bucket of ice. His expertise in the establishment, and surrounding points of interest was a welcome time saver! The rooms were well appointed, and very clean. I am a former Executive Housekeeper myself, and I nit pick everything.... but I had not one complaint.

We attended the Dining in the Dark event tonight and were so incredibly disappointed. We had the 8:30 seating but didn’t get sent to our table until 8:45, salad didn’t show up until 9:15, main course about 10 and then our table was forgotten for dessert so had to take our blind folds off to let them know - meal didn’t end until almost 11 and they had the audacity to add a 20% tip onto our bar tab and can though they never asked if we wanted anything else. The food would have been delicious had it been served even mildly warm which it was not - the steak was cold, the salmon was almost Luke warm at best. For a meal with wine that cost ~$300 or more it was a waste of money and not at a level you expect the Fairmont hotel to have.

WARNING. DO NOT STAY HERE. To give you context, I have stayed in Fairmonts around the globe. This, by far, was the worst farmont experience I’ve ever had in my life. Let me debrief why 1. I am a diamond status member. Upon check in, I was informed that I would not have access to the gold lounge (even though diamond gets access to breakfasts per the Accor website). After going back and forth with a rude lady at the front desk, someone else came and reluctantly gave us access to the lounge. He kept citing the property was under new ownership? And apparently they changed the rules from diamond members to access the lounge? That was not on par with what’s on their website. 2. Because of the diamond status, we got upgraded to a suite. This was exciting at first- but then we actually entered the suite. It was very dimly lit, really awkward and outdated furniture, really old carpet, tiles falling out of the walls in the bathroom, the bathtub was completely abused, toilet was really old and really short for some reason. Even the toilet paper was rough. 3. Hotel was occupied by a conference which made navigating the hotel exponentially worse 4. Y’all- the gym is so outdated that the treadmills iPhone adapter is for the IPHONE 1 !!!!!!! I cannot say this with more conviction, DO NOT stay here. The owner of this hotel seems greedy and does not care about the quality Fairmont is used to having. Again, I have never seen a more low quality and run down Fairmont in my life. It was not worth the ~$250 for one night I spent. Take your hard earned money elsewhere.

I was at the Fairmont for 5 nights in August for a conference. The staff throughout the hotel was wonderful. They provided excellent service everywhere. The elevator on the left side in the south lobby acted very erratically and I was briefly stuck in it after the doors closed and all the buttons went dark.... this was a theme of my stay there, and most of us avoided that elevator. I took the steps from the 7th floor after I was stuck in the elevator for about 3 minutes (I know, not long, but still....) Otherwise, the hotel is old, and some of the rooms are dated and need attention, but my space in the south tower was comfortable and clean. The food in the restaurant was excellent for both lunch and dinner ( I also had soup in the bar one night that was fantastic.) The service was top notch as I came to expect from this hotel. They do a great job in all departments that I encountered. I would stay there again if in the area. I just hope they fix the elevator issues!
