About the Hotel

As the Industrial Age was ending and the Victorian Era was beginning, the American frontier moved west through Denver’s Lower Highlands. Within a contemporary shell that nods to the industrialists who built the city, we designed our House with textured glass and floral mementos to tell the story of Victorian opulence. The House reflects the musings of the neighborhood’s original pioneers, from their Italian roots to the wildflower terrain that inspires the cocktail bar & restaurant.

Perfect Getaway

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

My husband and I visited Denver for the first time for our wedding anniversary, and we stayed at Life House before moving on to a cabin. Life House was fairly easy to navigate to, but parking during the day was a bit of a struggle. Later in the evening it was much easier to find a space, and we managed to park right out front. The check in and out process could not be any easier, and when I did reach out to staff they were super helpful and very quick to respond. The hotel was so quiet and felt very private, almost serene, despite being in the city. The vibe of the hotel was right up our alley, and it definitely felt like our own little space. And as strange as it sounds, the space smelled so good, I cannot stress this enough. It made it feel like every little detail was genuine and thought out. The neighborhood was very cool, and we loved the recommended spots, as well as the coffee shop across the road. The restaurant in the hotel was also incredible, and definitely follows the same narrative and standards as the hotel, completing the experience. The only criticism I have is that I found the bathroom to be a bit dark, but that's splitting hairs. Price wise, I found it comparable to most stays in the area, but I felt the character of Life House was more interesting and far outclassed its peers. Overall it was a really lovely, almost dreamy stay, and I cannot recommended it enough.

One of the best in Denver

What a fantastic stay! Room was one of the best we’ve stayed in for years. Well appointed and quiet location but walking distance to exciting Denver Lohi and downtown shopping and restaurants. Wildflower bar was classy and relaxed. We will be back. .

Good Value Option for a Short Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Hotel is very bare-bones, basic room with a "luxury" aesthetic/ feel. No amenities like mini bar drinks, water, etc. in the room, but some higher end products like Le Labo. An important note is that this hotel is essentially all self-service, meaning you check-in/ out via a kiosk, you need to text an automated service for any questions - and often not get a response. If you don't mind this, it's definitely a good choice for a shorter stay and a cheaper option! However, if you're looking for service like a concierge, room service, etc. then it would be best to choose somewhere else.

Beautiful hotel

Very beautiful boutique hotel. The attention to detail is amazing. Loved the wood finishes and accent pieces. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and courteous. Overall great experience. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful ... until you look closely

As a 4-star hotel, having a refrigerator right next to the bed as a nightstand is 1-star level quality; it's loud, and it shuts on and off throughout the night. The room I was initially checked into was made up but was by no means "clean". There were crumbs on the floor, hair in the sink, and a massive rip in the sheets at the foot of the bed. I felt gross the second I walked into that room which was a terrible first impression of this hotel. I have a cast on my arm, so having to go back downstairs, look for the contact information to actually talk to someone because there was no one on the property (it was the afternoon), and then be checked into a different room wasn't a great experience. The rooms themselves could have been beautiful (if they were cleaned the right way) and arranged differently (no fridge as a nightstand). I also could hear the loud music from the restaurant until 11:00pm and the people above me walking around their room until 2:00am.
