About the Hotel
Located in downtown Detroit in what was once called the Fifth Avenue of the Midwest, the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit originally opened in 1924 to critical acclaim. Designed in an Italian Renaissance style, this famous hotel played a role in the classic 1948 film State of the Union. Great location and service
The staff was amazing. Front desk, bar staff, door greeter. All friendly and outstanding. Nice fitness center with a large selection of equipment. The concierge lounge had many options. the staff was excellent. Starbucks is also conveniently located in the lobby. Great location, there is a beautiful church next door and the hotel is a short walk to the river.

Did not disappoint! Lovely hotel, great amenities and great location. The room was clean, spacious and well maintained. Had plenty of space to sit and relax after a busy day in the sitting area. The heavenly beds did not disappoint as usual. My only complaint is that I wish there was a double sink given how much space was available in the bathroom. Was in a great location to make through downtown to many of the major attractions and close to many restaurants and shops. I would happily stay again.

Terrific Stay at the Newly Renovated Westin Book Cadillac Detroit
I had a terrific stay at the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit. My room was spacious and comfortable. I stayed at this hotel many many years ago, and I was really impressed with the newly renovated rooms. The rooms are now brighter than before and very modern looking. I also liked the enhancements in the club lounge. The food was absolutely delicious, and I appreciated the variety of hot items served for breakfast and in the evening. I also liked the coffee machine in the club lounge. The staff was friendly and efficient.

Valet parking is probably cheaper than parking across the street! We parked across the street and spent almost 100$ on one night… rip-off

An iconic, beautiful, historic hotel in the heart of Detroit. Perfect!
Perfection! PROS: This stay was simply perfect. Great responsive valet parking, quick check in. Good eating options onsite. Room was clean, bright and modern. Lots of speedy elevators. Friendly and helpful staff. We were here for the auto show and the Lions game. OPPORTUNITY: Seems like the Marriott app allows for check-in but you still have to go to the front desk for a room key. The virtual key was not offered. Maybe get on that. Summary: Highly recommend this historic, iconic hotel in downtown Detroit. Close to all the fun stuff. Love the valet guys. Kudos to everyone on the staff. BTW, the hotel was packed yet no lineups for anything. That's a sign of great management and execution.
