Atlantis The Royal

This first review for Atlantis the Royal, is a focus on the Royal Club…in what has been, simply outstanding customer service, from a wonderful team, who have just stood out to us, for being absolutely brilliant! Our most sincere and deepest thanks have to go to Fahmi, Ahmed, Glenda and Rajiv…for you have helped to make our stay, so utterly memorable and magical. You made every single detail matter…from the rather copious amounts of Moet, the wonderful and individually bespoke cocktails, the bespoke vegan food you always ensured I had…always with a smile, with some lovely chats too…you made us feel like part of your families and we felt truly valued. Fahmi, Ahmed, Glenda and Rajiv…it has been a pure delight and a really genuine pleasure and we give you our heartfelt thanks for a truly wonderful time in the Royal Club. We opted for a club room and enjoyed using the Royal Sea Lounge. We were looked after by all the staff very well, in particular Mark who was very attentive, very friendly and personable and always made sure we were well looked after

I arrived at the hotel entrance in my friend's car, but the staff just stood there and didn't bother to help me with my luggage. Even after I entered the hotel, the staff greeted other Westerners and Middle Easterners, but didn't respond to me at all. I waited at the check-in desk for nearly 30 minutes. For a hotel that costs hundreds of dollars a night, they don't even provide such basic services. It's super pathetic. Even at cheap hotels like ibis, staff carry customers' luggage. After checking in, I went for coffee, but even though most of the other tables were empty, the staff directed me to a bad table. The room was in good condition. The pool was great, but I wouldn't stay here again.

Atlantis The Royal is a magnificent hotel with stunning design. Its culinary offerings and facilities are truly top-level. However, I must say there was a serious problem with the staff. Since we were checking out late, we left our belongings in the luggage room and had placed my wife’s makeup bag separately. When we went back to collect our things, the makeup bag was missing. The hotel staff didn’t seem to care at all. They treated us as if we were lying, which was truly humiliating. Only after we insisted we would go to the police did they start to help. The bag and its contents were valuable to me, both financially and sentimentally. Eventually, when they realized someone else had taken it, they sent me a new replacement. The problem was solved only because we threatened to involve the police. If this is supposed to be a high-end hotel, they should have resolved such a lost-item issue immediately on their own. This ended up being my very first negative hotel review on TripAdvisor.

The hotel is as exquisite inside as it is outside. Luxurious and all of the lovely staff made us feel at home during our 8 days there, the room servicing/cleaning team went over and above every day cleaning our room. Atlantis Royal Beach was amazing, lovely breeze and the staff there were so nice and we had lovely food and drinks there during day and watching sun going down. Nobu Beach club and also nobu restaurant at night were both exceptional, amazing atmosphere at pool and restaurant and beautiful food and drinks. The outside terrace bar overlooking fountains was just so great, wonderful staff as always and lovely cold drinks watching the incredible fountain display. Guest services/reception were so helpful also, literally the perfect holiday. Thank you to everyone at Atlantis Royal can't wait to come back next summer for 8 nights. Thank you.
