We have stayed at Hawk’s Cay many times over the years. We just went for a week, and had a great room overlooking the pool and lagoon. Our check-in was very pleasant with Andrea, the manager, Kim, was very accommodating, the nighttime singers, Sasha, Taylor, and Raegan, were very sweet to our son and always had a smile on their faces. The staff is friendly, and it’s very relaxing.

Beautiful property and water views. Only giving a 4 not a five due to them closing down the pools at dusk. Otherwise it was a great stay. The staff were friendly the bartenders were great and the rooms were well kept. We would definitely return again.

We rented a villa the first week of June. When we got there we discovered the refrigerator wasn't working properly, the private pool wasn't working properly, we had no cable TV and the exhaust fans in the bathrooms didn't work. the issues with the frig and pool were taken care of in about three days. We rigged the TV to get it to work. the internet is a joke. They are supposed to come empty the trash and supply clean towels daily, that didn't happen. We saw housekeeping one time for the entire week. The resort is nice but not wort the money they are getting.

We booked this visit for our 21st wedding anniversary. We were offered an upgrade to one of the villas at a good rate. However that’s where it all ended! The villa was more of a downgrade in terms of quality. Yes it had extra space but it was in terrible condition, broken beds, broken wardrobes, broken sinks, bad or missing utensils in kitchen, bad wifi, TV stopped working every other hour. We thought we’d not complain as we just wanted to relax. But on our 4th night it got worse! Some disrespectful guests had a party in the pool next to our room even though it was closed. They made loads of noise and left mess everywhere. We cleaned it up the next morning as the hotel wouldn’t. Then that next night there was an even bigger party in the pool with about 30-40 people all drunk, smoking drugs and playing loud music. We asked them to stop and be quiet but we were verbally abused including our young daughter being targeted for the abuse. This time the hotel security did shut the party down. We did make a complaint and we were given some small discount and also the upgrade cost removed as we mentioned the issues with the villa at this point. Although we were given some kind of discount it still totally ruined our stay and our wedding anniversary. All we got from the management was a sorry! My advice would be avoid the upgrades they are not worth it and stay away from booking the villas. Some of the staff were great but others just didn’t care. I can’t add photos but the video footage of the behaviour and actions at the disruptive guests will be shared on other social media outlets.

First time staying at Hawks Cay, and it was truly awesome. There are so many positives to say about this resort and a few ideas to make it even better. Awesome things 1. The pirate water playground is awesome for kids ages 1-6. 2. The pool near the pirate water playground is colder and very refreshing. 3. The tiki beach is very nice with sand for the kids to play in, they also have paddle boards free to use for 30 minute increments. This is a great area for a beginner or small child to learn to use a paddle board. 4. Every where we ate on the premises was exceptionally tasty. (Pricey but good) 5. The bigger pool close to the tiki beach is very big. 6. The hot tub near the tiki beach is a very hot temperature. 7. We stayed in the sunset village area and the views of the water were great. 8. The iguanas on the property are very cool. 9. The queen size beds in our rooms were very comfortable. 10. The porches were also very nice and we had a nice table to eat at while outside enjoying the views. 11. Most of the staff were extremely helpful and polite. Ideas to improve the resort 1. Some items in the rooms seemed slightly dated, namely the carpet. 2. There is no beach with waves. 3. The resort can’t help this, but some guests seemed rude and entitled. For example we saw several people come down very early in the morning and get ten or more pool towels and then place them on the pool side chairs, then simply leave, to return later. Overall I would recommend this resort to families with small children or even up to age 10.
