This hotel is beautiful and in an excellent location. The staff was very attentive and helpful and our suite was elegant. Sweet treats and fruit were provided each day to our room. The breakfasts were delicious.

I never write reviews but feel it is a total must here. The service at this hotel is unbelievable and I have stayed at some amazing hotels. They were soooo above and beyond...helpful, kind, and caring. The hotel itself is so beautiful and just a wonderful place to call home after a day of sightseeing and walking all over the city. I went with 5 other women and we can be a little loud but they not only didn't get bothered they just wanted us to have fun and enjoy the trip. They were absolutely fabulous from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Cannot say enough good things and am telling everyone I know to take a trip there and stay at this hotel! -Lyndi/ Los Angeles

This hotel is everything and more. The hotel staff from the moment we entered to the moment we left we were treated as we were the only people there (and we weren't!). They were all so kind and courteous and we appreciated their assistance in everything we needed. OH and the rooms!!! They were magnificent! Beautifully and tastefully decorated to showcase Scottish decor and history. The hotel itself was the same. The beds were comfortable, it was so clean everywhere. We didn't even hear any noise while there either. It is in such a great central location with some amazing views (it's worth it to pay for the view of Edinburgh Castle!), enjoyable restaurants close by (including this hotel itself). Our huge thanks to the amazing hotel staff. Everyone was amazing. The care that the staff (ALL departments of the hotel) took ensuring a beautiful stay and amazing comfort was noticed and appreciated. We loved it so much, we have already booked another stay in May!

My husband and I recently stayed for 4 nights on our first trip to Edinburgh. We splurged for his birthday and I'm thrilled we did. The hotel is gorgeous. The staff went out of their way to help our celebration. In addition to the daily canapes and fruit, a delicious cake showed up as a surprise. When asked about turning on the fireplace, a staff member was sent to turn it back on for us even though it had been turned off for the season. Daily breakfasts in The Wallace, with its beautiful decor (that leather wall covering!) and view of the castle on the hill, were a lovely way to start each day. We had an amazing trip and I can't wait to return!

A quiet place in the center of Edinburgh. Lovely decor and helpful staff. The view from the bedroom to the castle was amazing. Dario made us a very interesting whisky tasting.
