Outstanding customer service
This is a truly wonderful hotel. The staff are kind and helpful and the decor in the public areas is outstanding. High ceilings, large bay windows and beautiful pieces of art. The ambience is relaxing and quiet and you feel at home straight away. The food is excellent and the breakfast buffet is probably the best I have ever seen… even vodka for a Bloody Mary if you fancy one! The bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable and there is no noise from the street or other bedrooms. The corridors have beautiful ornaments and the lift makes life very easy getting from floor to floor. I cannot praise all the staff highly enough and will definitely be back when I next visit Edinburgh.

Awesome place to spend your city trip in Edinburgh. Beautifully and tastefully renovated Victorian houses. The art collection is one a kind. The staff is wonderful, their service is impeccable. Great food and drinks. Lovely decorated comfortable rooms and bathrooms.

Great Location for a lovely part of Edinburgh
We had not stayed in this part of Edinburgh before, as it was not near the Royal Mile. But we walked there easily and the walks we did around nearby streets were really fabulous. A classic hotel in classic surroundings!
