At The Bonham in Edinburgh, Scotland, Victorian traditions take on a modern twist. Located on a peaceful, leafy street in the city's vibrant West End, just a short walk from the area's most celebrated sites, this four-star boutique hotel complements old world comforts and impeccable service with sleek new lines and bold furnishings. Designed to meet the needs of today's guests, the hotel features spacious and themed accommodations, many with breathtaking views of Edinburgh from the quaint Dean Village to the Firth of Forth, and raved about by Fodor's as "a unique minimalist concept."

I've traveled a lot in my lifetime and stayed at big hotels. Small hotels resorts. However, this is number one in my book! First of all, you cannot beat the service. Everyone that works there was pleasant, helpful and made you feel at home. Especially Lucas at the front desk who went above and beyond for things that we needed to make us stay more comfortable and it is a compliment to this boutique hotel. Scotland is a beautiful destination, however this makes it even more special.

This is a beautiful, classic, elegant hotel with a beautiful lobby, bar, and restaurant and spacious rooms with tall, gorgeous windows and city views. I love it.

We stayed two nights at The Bonham Hotel and were thoroughly impressed. Having previously stayed at one of the large hotels around Charlotte Square, we found The Bonham to be quieter, more intimate, far less commercial — and much better value. Tucked away in elegant Drumsheugh Gardens, this boutique hotel combines historic charm with modern comfort. You can sense its fascinating history the moment you walk in, from the graceful staircases to the calm, welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with a luxurious underfloor-heated bathroom. Parking (£20/night) is limited but secure, and the location is ideal — peaceful yet just a short walk from the city centre. The Scottish breakfast is to die for, generous and beautifully cooked. The restaurant opens Thursday to Saturday evenings and for Sunday lunch. A refined and relaxing stay — we’ll definitely return again and again to this hidden gem.

Everything was exceptional, as usual, but made particularly good by helpful & friendly staff AND a really outstanding dinner in the restaurant.
