A Hidden Gem – Quieter, More Intimate and Better Value
We stayed two nights at The Bonham Hotel and were thoroughly impressed. Having previously stayed at one of the large hotels around Charlotte Square, we found The Bonham to be quieter, more intimate, far less commercial — and much better value. Tucked away in elegant Drumsheugh Gardens, this boutique hotel combines historic charm with modern comfort. You can sense its fascinating history the moment you walk in, from the graceful staircases to the calm, welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with a luxurious underfloor-heated bathroom. Parking (£20/night) is limited but secure, and the location is ideal — peaceful yet just a short walk from the city centre. The Scottish breakfast is to die for, generous and beautifully cooked. The restaurant opens Thursday to Saturday evenings and for Sunday lunch. A refined and relaxing stay — we’ll definitely return again and again to this hidden gem.

Felt like I was in a luxurious cocoon
Very special building filled with good spirit and pride in the place. The staff is excellent, caring and helpful. The place is located in a quiet area and our room was beautiful. We appreciated the vegan options at breakfast and dinner. We would definitely return.

Great lodging close to the city center
Beautiful hotel right in the center of town (but in a quiet neighborhood), very easy walk to all of the city center attractions. Lovely room, excellent service, good food. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
