Bought as a gift for my parents joint 80th birthdays. They thought the whole experience was fabulous: from the beautiful environment to the hearty breakfast.

We stayed at the Bonham recently, in March 2026. The hotel is beautiful, the staff were lovely and the service was excellent. We ate in both the restaurant and from the lounge menu, all food was of an excellent standard, as were the cocktails! The style and decor of the hotel is very interesting and of a high quality, it is very clean and well looked after. We had a lovely room with a bay window with a great view of Leith, which was a delight to relax in after a day out and about. It was also very interesting to see the art work and objects and to read about them. The hotel is in a convenient location, quiet and in a lovely street. We will definitely be coming back, thank you for a lovely stay.

The hotel is very nicely decorated and the rooms are well appointed. The online booking was not the easiest to use and resulted in the 2nd room we booked not receiving the wedding guest discount and on explaining at check in we were advised that they weren't able to correct this. The breakfast was quite pricey for what it was, as were the lunch options. The Wedding reception was handled well and the function rooms were well appointed with far more comfortable chairs than many venues offer.

Went for lunch today with my son.!Disappointed that a traditional Sunday Roast wasn’t not offered on their Snoozy Boozy lunch menu. What was offered was well Presented and tasty especially the duck confit and crème caramel. Surprised no additional vegetables offered when considering the price. It was good but just lacked that special quality for a five star review. Sunday lunch should be a roast!!

Lovely stay in a traditional hotel away from the hustle and noise but close enough to walk to all the sites and plenty of local restaurants. Service and food was excellent, rooms very comfortable and spacious. I would prefer a shower rather than shower above a bath but that's my own preference.
