About the Hotel
Important - The Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian has recently been renamed to The Caledonian Edinburgh, Curio Collection by Hilton. The Caledonian Edinburgh is currently undergoing renovation expected to be completed early 2025. The transformation of the hotel is already well underway and is taking place over a phased approach to ensure we can continue to operate as business as usual.

Excellent stay at the Caledonian Edinburgh.
We had a great two-day stay at the Caledonian Edinburgh. The location, directly across from the Castle and walking distance to the Royal Mile and other attractions, cannot be beat. The hotel itself was well-maintained, and the staff (in particular Jay the concierge) was friendly, helpful, and professional. Thanks for a great visit!

Beautiful hotel and welcoming staff
Beautiful hotel we were met by the doorman who took our luggage escorted us to reception to check in what a luxury experience the front desk staff had upgraded us which we did not expect such a surprise. We were shown to the lifts then went up to our room 304 it was stunning large room with huge windows with a beautiful view of the castle. The staff were so welcoming at front desk. The bed was so luxurious and very comfortable slept very well We had breakfast in the morning what a selection to choose from we were certainly not disappointed at all just sad that we only had a one night stay we will return for longer. Planning our next trip.” The team here make the experience all staff we met were extremely nice and looked after us.

A Fantastic Family Stay – We’ll Definitely Be Back!
We stayed at The Caledonian for a family trip to Edinburgh and absolutely loved it. The hotel is beautiful – full of character and elegance – and everything from the rooms to the spa felt really high quality. The food was amazing, and the service throughout our stay was top-notch. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and made us feel really welcome as a family. Nothing was ever too much trouble. It was definitely worth staying here – a great base for exploring the city, and a really special place to come back to at the end of the day. We made some lovely memories and would definitely, definitely return. Highly recommend!

What a fantastic location perfect to let you explore the city. It’s a short walk to the Castle and the shops and not too far from Waverley station. Staff were warm, professional, and attentive throughout. Check-in was quick and smooth. The room was well equipped, with tea and coffee making facilities. The pool looked lovely, though I didn’t get to try the spa this time!
