Kimpton Charlotte Square

First the good: Excellent location Spotless Great great health club with 2 story gym Large warm swimming pool to do laps in Sauna and steam Room Excellent customer service. Staff are all quite good and helpful. Mary the manager is extremely helpful and friendly Cons Very pricey for what is offered though this reflects what the local hotel market is. The facilities and location offered tend to offset this . This is really a 4.5 star not quite a 5. There is no driveway . When we arrived there were 4 of us with many suitcases . There was 1 staff person outside and he was only able to help one of us. At most hotels of this caliber you just leave the luggage and bellman bring it in. This does not happen here . If the room is not ready they store it and bring it up later . If you want to call a room from the lobby you have to go up to the desk and use one of the staff phones . There are no “ house” phones. Rooms are nice but not luxurious. There is adequate space but the standard rooms are on the small side. Beds are very comfortable. This hotel does not have that luxury feeling like you have say at the Pricipe di Savoia in Milan but prices are similar. We have enjoyed our stay but feel these things could be improved to justify the price point of over US $ 600 per night.

This Kimpton hotel is not to be missed. Hidden within centuries, old brownstones lies an impressive eclectic, exciting hotel with a vibe. From the moment we walked in we knew it would be great. We were immediately greeted and given a tour of the hotel and our room is upgraded to a junior suite. Furnishings , layout and design were thoughtful. Rooms and property immaculate We Travel extensively and we’re very impressed by the staff, the food and the willingness to help in every direction. Turn down every night with a local treat , Breakfast buffet and made to order options We had an opportunity to eat at the restaurant, because our plans changed. It was fantastic. The social hour daily was a great way to meet people that were staying at the hotel and created an atmosphere of community. The bartenders were terrific. This hotel is a 10 of 10.

Excellent hotel from start to finish. Beautiful building, great staff, amazing spa facilities and food. You couldn’t went for much more.

What a wonderful welcome…from the moment you arrive at the property you get the sense that EVERYONE really wants you to enjoy the perfect stay. Sabah and Zoe at front of house, the entire concierge team and the the cocktail maestro that is Leon in the bar, with his wonderful team including Alanna and Duane. Outstanding. Super location, comfortable rooms…!

Amazing spa day, I had Laura and my friend had Samantha and we honestly had the best massages and facials ❤️ I've had a lot over the years but honestly this was 10/10 and I would highly recommend! The pool was so relaxing with the dark ambience and steam/sauna lovely.. We then went upstairs to have some food and cocktails to celebrate my birthday and it did not disappoint..... All in all fantastic day and we will absolutely be back!
