Such a quaint wee hotel in a quiet neighborhood- clean and great bar and restaurant the staff was so friendly and nice - Andy and the bartenders and front man was super!!

We stayed here in June and had the absolute best time. We ended up having a problem with our laundry (there was a miscommunication) when we sent it out. The team went above and beyond to remedy the situation and we were thoroughly impressed. Special shout out to Matt who oversees everything who made it his personal mission to make things right. That ideal that is at the head runs through to the rest of the staff. We couldn't have stayed with a lovelier and attentive team whose goal was to ensure we were having a great time. All this AND the location was absolutely phenomenal. Perfectly situated in-between new town and Stockbridge. We had one of the smallest rooms which was perfect for quick stays but for longer stays we recommend getting one of the larger ones. Unlike other small hotels this one also had breakfast/dinner as an option in their mini restaurant on sight which was lovely. When you stay here you aren't staying in a tourist trap or a heavily trafficked location. Instead you will feel like a true local and the staff ensured you were treated thusly - like a neighbor. Couldn't say more delightful things - we will absolutely be returning!

Every staff member was very helpful and polite. Enjoyed my stay and I would definitely recommend, as a matter of fact I already have recommended.

Had great time at this hotel. Breakfast, beds, atmosphere was great. The desk clerk, Abby or Abbie was great but felt sorry for her bringing our 3 heavy suitcases down from room 10/4 on our departure. But she did it with a big smile and some sweat. Great representative for the hotel!!!

Nira Caledonia is an excellent boutique hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom always filled with luxury soaps, and the staff very helpful. They carried my bag to my room upon check in and gave wonderful recommendations throughout Edinburgh. Abi was particularly helpful in chasing down a dinner reservation for me on multiple occasions. She was professional, communicative, and went the extra mile. I’d absolutely recommend Nira Caledonia for your next trip to Edinburgh.
