Excellent hotel. For a little city break with family or friends, or even as a solo i couldn’t recommend more than to come to this hotel. It’s slap bang in the middle of everything you need no matter which direction you go all within walking distance especially if your like me and family who love to walk. The food was lovely. Haven’t tried the dinner service (but heard it was really good!) The breakfast was spot on every morning whether it was the buffet or off the menu, even whipped us up some sandwiches the night before as we had to leave early for a trip the next day and couldn’t make breakfast. All the staff were exceptional, welcoming and friendly especially the two lads we mainly saw who worked the front desk and one at the bar of a night (never got their names) always answered our questions and very chatty which creates a good environment with any guest. The rooms were good, as we were always out the whole day on tours or just walking around Edinburgh we didn’t book the better rooms they have as there was no need. But still a good room to come back to and sleep in after being out all day Overall 10/10 accommodations and if i ever come back to Edinburgh we wont hesitate to book this hotel again

Nira Caledonia is a delightful small boutique hotel. The people are exceptional. It is a delight to visit from Stockbridge, a town with so much to offer.

Relaxing experience in a beautiful setting. Very nice breakfast. Unfortunately, however, we experienced a socket failure which affected all appliances including TV and jacuzzi disappointing given we only stayed overnight.

Wonderful if short stay at this lovely Hilton set in leafy Stockbridge in Edinburgh. All staff were very welcoming and friendly. Bed was super comfortable. Room was spacious and well equipped. A fan in the room kept us cool and was definitely appreciated. Staff were happy for us to store our luggage early and it was in our room when we arrived. Lovely bar/ restaurant below. Bottles of water available if needed at no cost. (Gold perk?) Thank you to manager and his team for a great stay!!

A little gem in a fantastic area. Yes, this property is located in a historic building, so there are no elevators and no a/c, but... My room was very bright, spacious, extremely clean and beautiful, the bathroom was great, amenities were wonderful, service was excellent. The bed (mattress, pillows, blankets) was so very comfortable that I didn't want to wake up. Breakfast was delicious. Everyone who works at this property is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Every single person went above and beyond to please me. The hotel is located in a high end residential area with lots of restaurants and bars around. Also, great shopping is nearby. It's a leisurely 20 minutes walk to all the hustle and bustle of the old city center. I fell in love with this hotel and definitely will stay there again Thank you, Nira Caledonia, for taking such good care of me!
