Had a wonderful stay the hotel was beautiful. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and very helpful. Our room was lovely and the beds were so comfy which was much needed after walking miles around sightseeing! Would highly recommend

Incompetent, not well managed. The staff is aloof, unfriendly, and don’t know their policy. Not luxury at all. You’re better off at a motel. The restaurant food was cafeteria food.

A really fabulous few days at the hotel. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Particularly loved the separate toilet, huge walk in shower with a bench and the dressing area. The bed was super comfy and the coffee machine was great. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was exceptional. From the moment we arrived we only experienced super helpful people. Breakfast was fabulous with such a lot of choice. The bars were great for a cheeky cocktail at the end of the day. The hotel is so well situated near to the castle and the old town. Would highly recommend.

The experience at this hotel truly begins at the entrance. There was a very helpful and friendly employee at the door ready to help with our (admittedly very heavy) luggage. We were greeted with glasses of champagne before heading to check in where were helped by another set of friendly staff members. The room was a decent size and we loved the terrace and the tea and coffee selection, as well as the regional treats available in the room. The room was very quiet and the hotel is in a great location about a block from the Royal Mile and close to all of the attractions that we booked, as well as the Waverley train station to get to other parts of the country. The nearby food options are also plentiful and delicious. I personally recommend Zebra Coffee Co for breakfast. The hotel itself has a bit of a weird layout, a result of its location within a historic building but once you figure out where you're going, it's pretty straightforward.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The staff were incredibly attentive, helpful, friendly, and highly efficient, especially when handling our luggage. I do not remember their names, but I would like to highlight two bellhops who made our experience even more special. The first, a Chinese staff member who welcomed us upon arrival a little after 11 p.m., was exceptionally kind, polite, and attentive. Even though it was late at night, he made us feel genuinely welcome. Upon departure, another bellhop — who mentioned that he had dated a Brazilian woman from Goiânia — was also impeccable, taking great care of us and assisting us all the way until we got into the taxi. In addition to being polite and respectful, he was also very funny. After checkout, we asked to see the rooftop, and he kindly made a point of taking us there, which made the experience even more memorable. Without a doubt, the service provided by the entire team was a true differentiator. I travel frequently, and I can honestly say it had been years since I had experienced hotel service as exceptional as this. The room was also incredible, but the biggest highlight for me was the makeup room: a dedicated space where I could get ready and do my makeup with excellent lighting, which made the process much more practical and efficient. I found it to be a wonderful concept, especially for women. In addition, the separate dressing rooms allowed me to organize my luggage individually, without mixing my clothes with those of my friend who was traveling with me. It was a stay that truly made me feel at home.
