Virgin Hotels Edinburgh

Few hotels will ever outdo the Virgin Edinburgh for decor. Every corner if every hall, lounge, and room features a hipster vibe of one kind or another. Music and art are the primary themes, and they make passing from the lobby to your room a highlight. That is a rare feat. Our room was certainly as advertised but it felt considerably smaller in person than in online images. Yes, it had a castle view but the only windows opened barely two inches. Further, the center frame that split the windows made it feel at times like an obstructed view. Most room features and hotel amenities are accessible via the TV including room temperature, a very convenient method. Above all of this, the location just cannot be beat. The flaws are minor, the advantages major. I’d absolutely recommend it.

Fantastic location, easy to get to the National Museum, the Castle, the Surgeons' Hall museum, and loads of great dining. Atmosphere was impressive - the seventh floor terrace was a fabulous place to take a drink, and everything about the hotel felt "cool"/hip in the best way. Our room was on the top floor and had a castle view - in addition to generally being comfortable (great shower!) you can't go wrong with that. Rooms were clean and quiet, service was topnotch (our every interaction with a staff member was impeccable and we felt well cared-for)! Everything about our stay was wonderful - for what we paid, I was well satisfied by everything, which is much preferred to the state of "We paid $XX for THIS?!" - I had zero regrets or buyers remorse.

The staff was amazing and the room was extremely comfortable. There was always someone rushing to help us with luggage and the check in process was really easy. Will definitely stay here again!

Utter perfection!! From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you will be BLOWN AWAY. We have never had the privilege to stay at a Virgin hotel before, but will forever seek them out. We stayed for 8 days total and were thrilled with each and every moment of our stay. Location is 5 stars. Right at the top of Victoria Street, a perfect location of you plan to walk everywhere. It is right in the heart of Edinburgh's action. Service is IMPECCABLE. More than 5 star in every aspect. From the concierge that greets you as you walk in, and there to help with any needs or questions you have. To the front desk team that are always there for you to help make your stay perfect. To the incredible staff refreshing and cleaning your room. Chefs kiss! There are even 2 restaurants in site that are both incredible. Ate at both a few times. Dinner at the Commons is STUNNING. If you’re wondering where your next stay in while visiting Edinburgh, I promise you it will be everything you hope for (and more) if you stay at Virgin.
