Reviews for Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk

Fantastic breakfast and sea view from room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 17 hours ago

Luxurious hotel nestled in the cosy part of Fukuoka that faces the sea. The service was good and the hotel had great amenities. Breakfast spread was fantastic and the room was spacious. It’s next to the mall and stadium as well as public transport. Good choice if you prefer to stay off city centre.

Poor Pool

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 months ago

I chose Hilton Seahawk because it has an indoor pool as I am a keen swimmer. Regarding the pool, I found it disappointing because: 1. I had to pay up to USD15 per visit to the pool even after I had already paid USD100 per night. 2. The pool opened too late at 10 am. After swimming, it was almost noon. We were left with an afternoon for sight seeing only. 3. The pool was narrow and small. Though its length was 25 meters (as it claims), the width was just around 6meters. And they divided it into 3 lanes. So each lane was less than 2 metres width. 4. With such narrow small pool, they even reserved one whole lane for kids’ swimming lessons. So, only 2 lanes were available. 5. The pool was so crowded with “members” (non-hotel guests) When I visited at 10 am, there were already 6 “members” swimming on 2 lanes. They were hostile to me too telling me not to swim on their lanes and stay away from them. One even told me “Don’t ever touch me!”

Beware of fees JUST to use the pool as well as the bath.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 months ago

Nice beach front location and spacious rooms. Although I can’t understand that they charge you a fee (per night!) to use the pool AND the bath on the 7th floor. I’ve stayed at hiltons around the world and this is THE ONLY one that does that. They also have false information in the gym where it DOES NOT state that there is a fee (see pic). Sure they mention the fee for the pool in the Hilton Fukuoka hotel website, although nothing about the bath on the 7th floor. It reals you in with all the nice pics and leaves you with disappointment. It may be minor point to the hotel, but it’s definitely a major setback for guests. The least they could’ve done is to give a complementary pass for Hilton Honors Gold member. Unbelievable that a Hilton would do this type of thing.

Busy rip-off

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 10 months ago

Stayed for one night of a honeymoon. Check-in took twenty minutes, despite a short line and platinum status. The executive lounge had an hour wait. A half-finished pool area cost $50 for us to use, plus an extra swim cap fee if we wanted to skip the tiny outdoor pool and use the small indoor pool — next to a bar that wasn’t staffed. It has the feeling of something built out quickly and then left partially undone during the pandemic. Location is impressive, but amenities are trash.

Well maintained rooms - breakfast needs improvement

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 10 months ago

Visited on end of the June. The hotel has been opened for more than 30 years but kept in good shape. Rooms and facilities are well maintained with huge buffet restaurant for breakfast. However, the buffet itself was really “empty” with limited options. Nothing really attractive. Staff are friendly but they look tired due to high volume of guest.
