Afternoon Tea

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 hours ago

My mom and I had afternoon tea and had a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Raed was kind, informative, and fun. I do not eat gluten or animal products and Raed and the chef made sure that I was able to have a robust variety of sweets and savory items to try! I would defitely recommend the afternoon tea!

Old world charm

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

This hotel is beautiful, elegant and has an old world charm! We spent one night here and it was heavenly. The rooms are comfortable, the staff so gracious and the grounds are beautiful! Definitely try to make reservations for the Pullman because that was one of our top memories of our Ireland trip. I will say if you are going to experience Galway you might miss out on the coast charm of the city. You have to get a cab/uber OR drive into the city center, which both are doable. If you are looking for an escape, this is the place!

Wonderful place to stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

The staff the grounds the rooms!!!! This boutique hotel is darn right amazing!!! I cannot tell you how wonderful the service was for us. Only wish we would have stayed longer. It’s a little pricy and not right in Galway. But Galway has lots of car parks.

Our stay at Glenlo Abbey Hotel.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We had a great stay and got to experience both quality food and service from both the staff of the pulmon Resturant and from Liam who worked in the hotel bar and helped us created our own cocktail to celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary and went out of his way to look after us which we much appreciated. We plan to go back and stay in the hotel in the near future.

Good 3 star

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I had emailed the hotel at the beginning of the week and no response so i will leave my review here publicly instead. As part of our honeymoon, my husband and i are staying in 5 star hotels around Ireland and this by far was the worst place we stayed in. Firstly, a positive- food in the Pullman and breakfast was very good and would give it 5 stars. But everything else we experienced was poor. We emailed the hotel 24hours before arrival advising them of our early arrival and if it would be possible for our room to be ready- despite this- our room wasnt but thats ok as it clearly says check in times. However- we went for treatments in the spa and had asked our keys to be dropped there to save us getting out of our dressing gowns etc but reception refused so we had to change into our clothes and go to reception to collect our keys. In the cocktail bar, i had a drink poured over my outfit by the bar man who have me a cloth and walked off. I had to change my outfit and i have had to dry clean all my items to which i wasnt reimbursed. At breakfast, we queued for approximately 25minutes, yet when we got close to the top of the queue we counted 6 available tables which were not cleaned/set up for guests to sit at. Finally, general appearance was poor and poorly presented. Attention to detail and customer service are part of a 5 star hotel and this was way below my expectation- windows in the breakfast room filthy, lampshades hanging off lamps and ceiling lights and candles in candleabras also hanging sideways. Was more like faulty towers than a luxurious hotel. My advice would be to eat in thr Pullman for a food experience but dont waste your money staying there. So so so disappointed.
