Hotel Bristol Palace

Stayed here for 2 nights in October; beautiful Hotel - small entrance doesn't do it justice inside (great staircase!). Good breakfast choices, hot & cold, and a great location for walking easily to the Port front. Special mention to one of their friendly Doormen, I think his name was Davido, who gave us excellent travel advice (avoiding the expensive Taxi's) to get to/from Portofino - which we followed and had a great lunch in that pretty small fishing village. He was so helpful, and checked with us after how we found his directions. So much cheaper (& faster!) going by train from Genoa Brignole (a short 10 min walk from the Hotel) direct to Santa Margherita Ligure-Portofino & then catching a (regular departure) 10 minute small bus ride from the station straight into Portofino, which is a no-car zone. Would highly recommend this Hotel for comfort, service, and location.

The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring every aspect of our visit was seamless. Our room was beautifully spacious and comfortable, offering a perfect retreat. We thoroughly enjoyed the charming bar, where the talented barkeeper crafted excellent drinks. The breakfast buffet was also a highlight, offering a generous and delicious selection to start the day. For an experience combining historical grandeur, prime location, and impeccable service, the Bristol Palace Hotel is an unparalleled choice. Highly recommended!

Very good location near old town and main shopping street. Staff very helpful but just a couple of niggles. No milk in room for tea, coffee etc so had to call reception each day. They brought it up to the room. Air conditioning was working only some of the time and first night was very hot in room. The room itself was spacious and cleaned to a high standard. Breakfast was very good with a vast choice.

We visited Genoa for a quick trip, as it is the closest Italian city from where we live in southern France. We chose the Hotel Bristol Palace because of its central location and its pet-friendly policy, and we had a very enjoyable stay. We stayed in a junior suite room that was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel was kind enough to provide our dog with a tennis ball and a bag of treats in addition to a rug and a bowl. The staff was uniformly professional and welcoming. The breakfast was very good, and the valet parking service was convenient. The location is great, just a few minutes walk from all the sights as well as many restaurants and shops. Genoa itself was a very pleasant surprise. I am sure we will go back, and we would definitely choose the Hotel Bristol Palace again.

A very nice, old hotel. Quite expensive but a lovely bedroom and bathroom. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Great location.
