Today, the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel has been spruced up for the 21st century, with a multi-million pound refurbishment that has refreshed all of the existing guest rooms and suites with an elegant new look and the launch of the 1,900 sq. feet two-bedroom Penthouse Suite with its own private balcony, media room and dining area. The Hotel also hosts a 10,000 sq. ft. Spa facility with 9 luxury treatment rooms, a thermal suite, 2 relaxation pools, and a lounge and café area.

Not 5 Star Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 15 hours ago

Having now stayed numerous times here. I won't be paying the 5 Star Prices for a 4 Star Hotel again. Better luxury, details, facilities and attention at Gleneagles and Cameron House. Spa - overcrowded due to the ridiculous complementary times, everyone rushing to use the facilities at the same time (you don't get this at Gleneagles). The steam room was terrible. We got told to take our towels off the bed/ loungers so others could use - there were no pegs left to put our things ... We used the sauna and salt room before someone else left their towels for 30 minutes and no one questioned them? Dinner - forgot our sides for our mains and we're told this is taking a little longer due to our allergy..... and we waited 35 minutes between starter and main courses Breakfast - very poor gluten free options for coeliac - this is NOT a 5 Star Hotel breakfast. We waited 15 minutes to order, we asked for tea - took 15 minutes, we asked for GF toast - it took a further 15 minutes. We were over an hour and a half for breakfast from walking in and this stopped us from getting to the spa (complimentary time), as a result, had to pay £75 per person to use spa facilities....wow! Room - the room was nice however, the air con didn't work and we had an awful sleep as a result. Windows don't open - so it's very claustrophobic and stuffy. There were half eaten meals, ates and glasses left in the corridor for over an hour from other room service. We were locked out our room after checkout time and had to come down and get a key. Bizarre that your automatically locked out your room, when your check out time is exceeded by 3 minutes. As members I think this is appalling. Receptionist was also quite rude and the staff in general were not vigilant enough for 5 Star!

Fabulous!!!!

Had a really wonderful stay here recently. It was our first time staying at this hotel and it was very impressive. The room was fab and all the staff were fantastic. Loved the Tunnock's caramel - it was a lovely touch. Chloe on the front desk was an absolute pleasure. She was so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I'll definitely be returning!!!

Neat

On your arrival, the reception and concierge are so helpful as your bags are whisked to your room. The rooms are well equipped, comfy bed with no outside noise. The bar is pleasant but cocktails About £14.00 so you have to watch. The breakfast is hearty, but a few rolls would help. They have a wine refresher in foyer at 16:00 so that residents can socialise. Concierge great at sourcing cabs. The housekeeping staff are really helpful

Wonderful weekend stay at an amazing hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Enjoyed the very attentive service at the hotel. All staff has been very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our short weekend vacation so much. Especially Yann has been more than helpful and always seemed to be one step ahead of our needs. Looking forward to our next visit.

The best hotel in Glasgow

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Me and my wife stayed here during a road trip to Scotland in April - and we had some business I needed to conduct in Glasgow, hence why we stayed here. This is a really, really good hotel. A true five star experience. Check in was a breeze, the concierge staff also fantastic and the valet parking fantastic and very handy - a shout out to the gentleman who dealt with me, who was just brilliant. The rooms are also very well appointed - big windows, nice bathroom with separate shower, fast wifi too. I didn’t go crazy on my room as it was a flying visit - but it was very nice, even for a close to base one. Only two small bits of feedback for the management to take onboard…. The room service menu is quite small. We did ok on it but it was very small for a five star hotel - wants to be bigger. I’m not talking about the night menu - the day one! We stayed in a premium room and the mini bar, drinks etc were complimentary ….. no one told us that though. I had to assume, guess based on the fact I couldn’t find a menu anywhere with pricing & then confirm it later on. If I’m ever staying in Glasgow though, I’m staying here. It’s that simple.
