I was really looking forward to a relaxed stay at Beltane. The Farm environment and quiet was appealing online, and I liked the reviews. In general, it was quaint, but the farm area and lodging was reminiscent of my Grandfather’s unkept farm and house. It was relaxing, but not a Bed and Breakfast 5-star. There was constant yard work and grass cutting, with noisy workers. The rooms were comfortable, but tired…needing a refresh. From the moment we arrived, the long driveway looked to be bombed from WWII with potholes galore, we felt like family visiting an unkept farm. That was Okay, but I expected better. With advertising of farm to table, I was looking forward to a GREAT farm breakfast with fresh eggs, bacon and toast….we got a Fava Bean Soup with escarole and poached eggs…not our first choice. Fortunately, there was a cute French Cafe nearby in Glen Ellen that had awesome quiche and coffee! I must say that the inn hostess and the people at Beltane were VERY friendly and accommodating, but we won’t be returning. Thank you for trying.

Beltane was a very unique experience! we enjoyed not only the peaceful serenity of the location but also read up on the interesting history of the ranch with its impact to american wine development with the backdrop off some history of an african american heritage and entrepreneurship. We took a little time to hand feed the horse and donkeys with carrots provided. The views from the 2nd floor are picturesque overlooking the vineyard and mountain backdrop. Lastly, we enjoyed a charcuterie and breakfast created with the farm grown vegetables, eggs, and olive oil that made the experience fresh and enjoyable. we're plan to be back next year.

What an amazing and beautiful place! The staff is fabulous. When we booked the reservation we mentioned we liked hiking and flowers. Upon our arrival they had a list of hiking trails close to the Ranch for us to checkout. Thank you Autumn. Talk about going above and beyond! The grounds are wonderful. From the stunning, oak trees, to the beautiful gardens there is something for everyone. Plenty of private areas to relax. We watched the sunset near the fire pit while we sipped on one of their exceptional wine. It was the perfect weekend getaway.

This is the Blackberry Farms of California. We came for a tasting as club members and had the best time trying wines, meeting the animals, and taking a 4x4 ride. Autumn and Alexandria were wonderful hosts. Next time we will book a stay. Can’t recommend enough!

The staff at Beltane Ranch has the concepts of customer service perfectly dialed in. We stayed one Saturday night in the cottage and didn't want to leave. The location in Glenn Ellen is perfect for visiting the wineries of Glenn Ellen and Kenwood. We were greeted at our car door by the Ranch Dog (Hank??) who accompanied us later on as we explored the Ranch. Brian checked us in, gave us a tour of the property, and later hosted our outdoor tasting of the Beltane Estate Wines - he was knowledgable and personable and on top of every detail for us. We purchased bottles of Rose and 3 different Sauv Blancs. We added the Charcuterie plate to the tasting, prepared by Chef Neil, delicious and so filling we cancelled dinner plans, stayed in and enjoyed the property! Our Sunday morning breakfast served by Angie on the patio outside our cottage was delicious. Scrambled ranch-fresh eggs, thick cut bacon, french toast w/ ranch grown persimmons, and fresh grapefruit juice. Thanks you Angie and Chef Neil! The grounds are beautiful with plenty of places to lounge in private, and far enough off Sonoma Hwy that you feel secluded yet are minutes from great food and wine. The accommodations are super clean and comfortable and spacious. The staff (Brian & Angie) were supper helpful and friendly. And everything from Chef Neil was delicious. Thank you Beltane! Can't wait to return.
