Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach

Thank you to the outstanding Team and Team at the Sofitel Broadbeach. Service from the whole Team from Hotel entrance to checking in, concierge directing us to our room was impeccable. Great views from our room on the 11th Floor, we all loved the marble bathroom. Breakfast is excellent, great variety, fresh and plentiful. The Chia is yummy, we spoke to one of the Chef Team Adsa who prepared, giving us her recipe. Vianne is an absolute GEM, Guest Experience Manager, my family and I chatted with her at Breakfast. Great to see the Senior Team engaging with us guests. Top stay at a great hotel on the Gold Coast. Thank you.

Hotel rooms are a bit dated. Also has no club lounge which is very disappointing for a Sofitel Hotel

We paid over $400 per night for 5 nights and left very Disappointed to say the least. We often stay in modern Accor Motels but the Sofitel here looks like nothing has been updated for over 20 years. A kettle and 2 coffee mugs were the only room facilities except for a 20+ year old TV that you can't access Streaming on. The room clearly hasn't had any improvements for many years, shower head leaks and no soap or shampoo. I've stayed in $150 a night Motels in better condition.

We stayed in this hotel for five nights and like most hotels there's going to be things you like and things you don't, thought the room was big and the bed very comfortable, bathroom had everything you needed including a bath, I also loved the fact we had a balcony we were on the tenth floor not sure how I would have felt if I was much higher the hotel has 22 floors, only thing about the room there's not much storage spaces to hang clothes so you end up living out of your case. I never ate in the hotel because there's so much outside it we had Japanese, Italian, Greek and café for breakfast were great and not that expensive. We visited the pool once just to busy and noisy just my personal preference, there were only four parasols for a large area so it was difficult to get out of the sun plus an covered area with beds underneath but I don't know what you would have to do to bag one of them. There's a lot to do not far from the hotel with great transport links and so cheap. One thing I don't like they want a three hundred dollar bond from you I've now stayed in five hotel's in Australia and only two wanted a bond and the other was only one hundred the rest have taken a note off your card and that's that, also they take it from you in a second but take 36 hours to give you it back.

Excellent location. Great hotel if you wish to experience the Gold Coast and be close to shopping at Pacific Fair and the restaurants of Broad Beach. The service was 5 star all the way from the moment we checked in. We rang the hotel before check in to see if our room was ready and even though it was not the team was happy to call us once the our room was ready. The rooms were spacious for two people we did have a rollaway one night but apart from that for a couple its perfect. The rooms were very clean. Amenities are as you would expect in a 5 star hotel. The hotel is on top of a Woolworths which is great for snacks and the Woolies has a sushi bar which is great it you want a light meal. Room service was done through an app but it was easy to use and the food was great. The hotel is close of Pacific Fair shopping centre, the Casino and also the tram to Helensvale. There are plenty of restaurants and the Kurrawa Surf Club is across the road, become a lifelong member for $10 and enjoy member prices on food and beverage especially if you plan on heading there more than once. All in all we found the stay excellent. Pro Tip if you are planning to eat at the local restaurants do a quick search of what's available and book as the restaurants are very busy in that area.
