JA Manafaru

I stayed here to celebrate my birthday but was very disappointed. The management treated guests unfairly and inconsistently as I wasn't allowed to film with a drone (which I had confirmed by email before booking), yet influencers before and after me were allowed to do so without any issue. When I raised this, I was given misleading answers which felt dishonest and disrespectful. On the positive side, the housekeeping staff, restaurant servers, diving team, photographer and especially my butler Mohammed were excellent. However, overall I regret choosing this hotel for a special occasion. I wouldn't recommend it for celebrating personal events as you won’t feel comfortable or treated equally as a guest.

Stunning location. Amazing staff. Exceptional dining and food. Stunning natural real Maldives island with beautiful beaches and such lovely and professional genuine staff. Can't wait to go back.

We have been in J Mamafaru for 1 week. The whole experience was great, specially with Mohamed's help throughout our stay. The while experience was great starting with the food, but also the diving experience. One important nkte: all the staff is great - namely during our meals. Rosa (just to name one), was with us in most our meals and it indeed optimised our experience. Certainly a place to come back in the future

We spent our honeymoon at JA Manafaru, and it was truly an unforgettable experience in the Maldives. The island is breathtakingly beautiful, and the warm hospitality made our stay so special. A heartfelt thank you to our butler Sabaah for his attentive care, to Nizam at Andiamo for his kindness and wonderful service, and to Jack from Water Sports for making every activity so much fun. Their friendliness and professionalism made us feel at home in paradise. We are deeply grateful for these precious memories. If we have the chance, we would love to return to JA Manafaru again in the future. 🌴✨

There are simply not enough superlatives to describe how amazing this place is. We split our time between a water villa and a beach villa. Both were spacious, modern and had everything you need and were kept spotlessly clean by Tony. Not only is the resort beautiful and well kept it is the staff that make this place extra special. Each one will go out of their way for you. They delivered an absolute masterclass in hospitality, incredible levels of service and attention to detail. I have been lucky enough to stay in some hotels but none come close to this. Each and every one added something to our experience. Apologies if I miss anyone out or miss spell names( Ashraf was outstanding. He organised our anniversary dinner on the beach and it was beautiful. He was accommodating of all our requests in terms of food and drink and nothing was too much trouble. He is extremely professional and runs a well organised team. He is a credit to the resort. He checked in every day to see how things were and if we wanted anything special cooked that day. Musa the executive chef. Such a warm and friendly individual who is very passionate about what he does. Some of the best food we have eaten has been on this holiday. He always checked in too to see if he could do anything for us. The Maldivian night is a must, well anything cooked by Musa is a must! Nizam was our waiter for most of the time and he is attentive without being intrusive and his attention to detail is second to none. He is always one step ahead, remembers your preferences, likes and dislikes. He did a wonderful job for us on our anniversary dinner and also took some great pictures. He has a great sense of humour and I can see Suhaad his protege is taking after him. Special shoutouts to Ushair and Imran for the best juices and cocktails, the coconut martini is a must. Ushair always went out of his way and is a great photographer! Shaad, Ismail and Vipsn were great and Pratani and Rosa are so so lovely. Always have a small on their faces and so cheerful and friendly. A lot of the staff have worked there for 10 years or more so they work well together and gel as a team. Your butler will arrange everything for you and Rizam always come back to us in a timely fashion and sorted whatever we wanted. We used the spa twice and the Balinese massage was fantastic. If you’re thinking of travelling to the Maldives then this place needs to be on top of your list. It is serene and tranquil and you will want for nothing. You will be made to feel like the only people there and treated like VIPs. Our friends are looking to go to the Maldives and I have told them to book here. I will have incredibly fond memories of the time here and was sad to leave. It was ineffable in every way. I couldn’t recommend it any more, trust me you won’t be dissapointed. We also had the pleasure of meeting the new GM. He is new to the role and was talking about making this place even better! I am very grateful to all the staff here for making our stay memorable and good to return some day.
