Great experience at the hotel

Excellent service and everyone is so friendly. The atmosphere was great, beautiful art decor decoration…very tastiky done. Every single section of this vast hotel was great in my experience. Particularly Vuong, the gym and spa attendant was so helpful. Highly recommended.

Unmatched quality in service, design, comfort, and overall personalized and engaging service

Unmatched quality in service, design, comfort, and overall personalized and engaging service. Loved our stay with the comfiest rooms, excellent sauna/steam/plunge pool post gym workout, iconic Living Room jazz Happy Hour and a team that welcomes you as a friend and VIP at the same time. Unbeatable, can't wait to return!

Truly unique hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Had an overall exceptional stay at the Capella Hanoi. It was my first time in Hanoi, and I could not have picked a better hotel to stay at. Was greeted very warmly at check-in, and was introduced to the concept of the living room which is very unique among all the hotels I’ve stayed at. The decor of the hotel is very artsy and interesting, and really sets the Capella apart from everyone else. The suite that I booked was perfect - spacious, strong air-con, with plenty of technology such as the cute Bluetooth speaker, and the Japanese style toilets. The amenities are also of very high quality, notably the slippers, the shower cap!, and the sleeping eye mask. The hotel does not skimp on quality and I felt very comfortable during my stay. Breakfast was wonderful, with plenty of fresh fruit options daily, complemented by the extensive a la carte menu. I also loved that someone came around with a coffee cart and talked to me about some of the bean variety they offer. I’m not a coffee person, but I gave 2 of the coffees a try and they were truly exceptional - had no idea coffee didn’t have to be a bitter mess. Dinner at Koki was the highlight of my stay. I did the teppanyaki tasting menu, and it was wonderful watching the chefs prepare the food in front of you. What really made the dinner among the best I’ve ever had was my excellent server. He spoke perfect English and was able to explain all of the dishes in detail as well as the chefs cooking methods. This gave me a newfound appreciation for the cooking, as most restaurants even in fine dining fail to properly introduce the dish and give background on the ingredients used or the cooking method. I wish I caught his name, but he was amazing, and even gave me some excellent recommendations for food around Hanoi. Even if you are not staying at the capella this is a must to check out. The Michelin star is WELL deserved. I opted for dinner at the Diva Bar one night since the main restaurant was closed. The food was excellent and they had some very fun cocktails as well. Luckily it was not too busy either, so the ambiance was very nice and I was able to enjoy my dinner in peace. I also tried the Sunday brunch at the Hudson rooms, and unfortunately I got food poisoning from the raw oysters or the raw salmon. Ended up vomiting at the Lotte mall a few hours after, which ended my stay on a sour note. Also gave the sauna and the spa a try as well. I did some massages and a facials it is pricey for Hanoi, but the quality of the massage was excellent. I also appreciated them taking a look at my skin and giving me a recommendation for which facial service to do. The sauna was very comfortable, and I like that they do private appointments for the sauna so you can enjoy it in privacy. The cold plunge pool was an excellent way to cool off after the sauna so you can go back for another sauna session right after. The pool I just passed by, but the low ceilings and lighting made it a bit claustrophobic. Overall, besides the food poisoning incident, my stay here was perfect. This is truly a one of a kind hotel, and I definitely see myself returning the next time I’m in Hanoi. Also another downside is that some of the hardware in the hotel (door handles, the decor at the Diva Bar) is extremely sharp and I ended up cutting myself twice on those objects.

I really enjoyed everything in Capella Hanoi From the moment we arrived we were received in the lobby for check in and they surprised us with an upgrade to the Capella Suite. Incredible room. (Thank you for the gesture) The room is super modern, high tech and spacious. With one of the most comfortable bed i’ve ever slept on The breakfast was epic with a wide variety of vietnamese and international cuisine The roof top bar with its secret room is very cosy and chilled to enjoy a cigar Unfort didnt have the chance to try the restaurants and the gym. I fully recommend this place and it’s worth its price difference.

Love it here

This was our first Capella hotel and it exceeded all expectations! Located in the French Quarter, we were able to walk to everything we wanted to do/see in Hanoi. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff is top notch! They helped us book a day tour to Halong Bay beforehand and were always so welcoming and friendly. The room we had was Tosca on the 6th floor and it was so stylish and comfortable and quiet. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, with your usual continental buffet spread but also made-to-order items off of the menu. Try the Vietnamese iced coffee and their selection of Vietnamese offerings (they offer western style breakfast options too)! We also had champagne daily in the Living Room before heading out to dinner. They offer snacks and refreshments all day. My only regret is that we didn’t get to stay longer. We will be back!
