Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi

The Sofitel Hanoi has been on my list to stay at for as many years as I was hoping to visit Vietnam. When you look forward to something so much there is always a chance that it doesn’t quite meet your expectations. Well this is not the case. I was simply delighted at every stage of my stay. From the moment my husband and I arrived and were greeted by the hotels Guest Relations Manager I knew I we were going to be very well taken care of. Check-in was a breeze. It was a privilege to have a room on the Executive Lounge Floor. The staff made us feel like family, greeting us by name at every opportunity. Minh and Giang provided service that was both genuine and attentive. Food both in the Executive Lounge and hotel restaurants was on point at every experience. When you have been out all day in one of the most vibrant and fascinating cities in the world it’s wonderful to come back to a perfect city oasis, that provides luxury and warmth. The Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is not just a place to stay, it’s an experience in itself.

I cannot stop thinking about Sofitel Legend Hanio as our stay was so amazing. We wish we could go back in time. The property is a dream beautifully kept with lush garden and luxury brands. We got uogrqded to a grand suit in the heritage wing which was so beautiful. The room was new as it has been renovated recently. The amenties were also great. The location of the hotel is very covenient. We enjoyed a late afternoon lunch at the Le Beaulieu restaurant and watching the day go by. The staff at the hotel are very nice and always smiling. Highly recommend this hotel

Steeped in History, this refined hotel performs on every level… The heritage architecture recalls Indochine updated with all the comforts of the 21st century, the location is in the leafy and affluent section of Hanoi centrally located for all that Hanoi has to offer, and the service is unrivalled across every department, restaurant and bar — of which there are a pleasing variety. Each member of staff is flawlessly professional, courteous and capable… naturally friendly without being intrusive. They are interested (and interesting) people from whom I learned a great about Vietnam, past and present. Special thanks to Ms Trang Nguyen, our Majordome/Butler; Ms Yen Pham, our concierge; Ms Van Anh, Manager of Le Club Restaurant & Bar; Mr Kevin Durant, Assistant Director of Food & Beverage (who we met at Le Beaulieu restaurant); and to Ms Nhuong Dim in the Bamboo Bar for their outstanding service and many kindnesses. This was the only luxury hotel in Hanoi when it opened in 1901 and in my opinion it is still the only place to stay.

Fantastic stay — spotless large rooms, perfect location, great service, awesome bar and delicious breakfast. 10/10.

Everyone here was so eager to cater our every win. We especially want to recognize Naomi and Giang for being so helpful and cheerful. They are very cute also (blush)!
