We recently stayed here as the last leg of our month in Vietnam. The hotel is set well within walking distance to many of the attractions that are downtown Sai gon. the staff is gracious and strove to make our stay convenient. On our last day, our flight out was not until after 11pm. The Hotel allowed us to check out but still maintain access to the VIP lounge and access to the spa to shower up and get changed before our overnight flights home. The rooms were elegant, well laid out and the building was immaculate.

From the moment we drew up at the hotel we knew we were in for a special stay and it turned out to be one of the best hotels we have been lucky enough to stay in, anywhere. 

The reception area oozes luxury with fresh orchids and flowers everywhere, beautiful fixtures and furnishings and a warm, buzzing atmosphere. Living up to it’s name there were artful touches everywhere. The bar was most inviting! 

Mr.Tan who greeted us at reception was simply fantastic; kind, courteous and knowledgeable. It is with great sadness to learn he is no longer at the property. 

We were then escorted to the Sky Lounge to complete check-in formalities. Here and throughout our stay the staff were simply marvellous. They offered us welcome drinks and explained our club privileges. 

Our room was a little small but perfectly formed. It even had a fabulous red claw footed bath. 

The Sky Club lounge was a highlight of our stay and breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktail hour were all a delightful experience. Nothing was too much trouble for the amazing staff and the cocktails were beautifully crafted. 

We were delighted to return after our few days in Phan Thiet and again it was a simply fabulous stay. When we arrived reception was very busy, but within a few seconds a courteous member of staff, calling me by name escorted us back to the lounge.

Once again the warmest of welcomes awaited and with a smile we were told that we had been given a room mere steps from the lounge, so we didn’t miss a moment of cocktail hour. Despite it’s proximity to the lounge we didn’t hear any noise. 

We also had the pleasure to interact again with Mr.Tan, who looked after my jacket, that I had left behind. He was a great ambassador for the hotel and I am sure will be greatly missed. 

The only small negative, if I had to make one was the rooftop bar, which initially we were told by the manager was off limits, though when he learned we were residents we were granted entry. He wasn’t the most welcoming and it was too noisy and crowded for chatting but the views were good. We still don’t know how nobody ended up in the pool! 

In a city full of amazing hotels the Hotel des Arts Saigon truly is exceptional, in terms of ambience, style and staff. We cannot wait to return and maybe learn the ingredients to the secret cocktail!

We stayed 4 nights and booked a room with the Lounge access. This hotel is excellent in every way, but mostly it’s the staff. They couldn’t be more helpful. Every interaction was perfect, we even had staff remember our personal preferences. Book a high floor room with a city view. If the budget permits add on Lounge access or a Suite. We loved every minute of our stay
