This hotel was fabulous. Food was great and good value. Staff were helpful. Evening movies in the pool were great. Free soap for laundry was appreciated Special shout out to Kenneth who took us to city walk and ran after us to return my phone to me when I left it on the bus

The Garland is a lovely hotel, the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The concierge was brilliant too and really helped us plan our short stay in LA. The rooms are clean and comfortable with everything you could need. The facilities within the room and the hotel are comprehensive. The fitness centre is great and really has everything you need. The shuttle service put in place to get to Universal is so handy and the frequency is brilliant. The restaurant and bar at the hotel are both great. The food at the restaurant is incredible and you really need to make sure you have the biscuits at dinner!!! Overall, it was a great stay. Our only negative, was that the parking is quite on the expensive side and seems a shame for an additional charge when you're already paying quite a bit to stay/taxes etc.

From the minute you drive up to the hotel, it feels like you are walking in to old Hollywood. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was a nice size, and even tho we didn’t have a view to speak of, there was a wall of greenery separating the parking lot so it was very pleasant. The beds are comfortable, and the room actually cooled and heated to the temperature you desired. There is a lovely little bar and you can take your cocktail to one of the many seating areas in the lobby if you’d like. The restaurant onsite was exceptionally good! Highly recommend the biscuits as an appetizer. It doesn’t sound so special, but they truly melt in your mouth! And, as a fun morning walk the Brady Bunch house from the 70’s tv series is a few blocks away! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and recommend it highly

The hotel is very comfortable. The retro sheek was a fun vibe. The pool was enjoyable and their evening movie at the pool was fun. Staff are all kind and pleasant to talk with. We stayed 2 nights and ate 3 meals in the restaurant because it was delicious. I highly recommend the Garland!

Great location, resort-like vibe, friendly and attentive service. Will happily return. I stayed as part of a multigenerational family group and everyone enjoyed their stay and felt looked after, despite the differences in age and needs. Be sure to check out The Front Yard restaurant.
