My original review disappeared for no reason so here’s a re-post. We stayed during the pre Lunar New Year period for the festive vibes. Booked a room with the super iconic courtyard lantern view and didn’t disappoint. Room was spacious, well appointed with thoughtful amenities and modern technology despite the hotel being a historical monument. Area around the hotel is understandably chaotic but being able to check in from 6am in the morning definitely helps. Definitely recommend to all travelers who would like a taste of the colonial charm.

Impeccable service
1st time visit to Hong Kong and we were fortunate to be able to indulge ourselves by staying at the Peninsula. From check-in the service throughout was exceptional. Whilst being a highly rated 5* hotel our expectations were very high but our whole experience here was in the top 3 Hotels we have ever stayed in. Location is excellent close the the quay and MTR. Breakfast was extremely good and catered for all tastes. Very well appointed and comfortable room and again turn down service and general housekeeping were superb.

The Ultimate Experience
We stayed in room 2511 with an amazing view. The Chinese Restaurant dimsum is superb. Breakfast selection is of the highest quality and variety and the level of service was excellent. The entire hotel exudes class and is the only place to stay when you are in HK. Highly recommended.

Awesome location with excellent wait staff
I enjoyed my 8 nights stay at the Peninsula. The hotel is a historical landmark located at the heart of the Kowloon peninsula with all the shopping, dining and public transportation. MTR is 1 min walking and the ferry is very close by. Service was excellent and you can communicate with the staff on PenChat easily. I booked a 10 night stay with no changes allowed, but I was sick and needed to go home earlier than expected. The hotel made an exception to not charge me anything extra. Much appreciated. Breakfast is very busy and I must say that lunch is much better. I recommend advance reservation as this place seems to be very crowded all the time. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and considered one of the best hotels in HK.

I have traveled throughout the world, and I have never had a better experience anywhere than at the Peninsula in Hong Kong. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. The use of the hotel’s Rolls Royce, which I used to pick my husband up from the airport, was incredible icing on the cake.
