The Peninsula Hong Kong

Always worth a return visit to a luxury hotel with history and character. Well situated with great harbour views. You can arrive and depart from the airport by taxi, hotel Rolls Royce (for a price) or take the train to Tsuen Wan. But if you are traveling light take the train to Central and walk to the Star Ferry and take it across the harbour to the terminus which is close by the hotel. The hotel maintains a tradition of giving perfect service. Lovely rooms great restaurants and facilities. The tradition of Afternoon tea is much loved by Hong Kongers and guests alike. I love the swimming pool with its wonderful view. The attendants for changing are unobtrusive but attentive. They checked I had not left anything in my locker. Eating poolside is a great example of the Hotel’s fusion of traditions. I had a Bento Box (Japanese), but it contained Cantonese pork and rice, Dim Sim and vegetables with delicious Thai rolled pickled mango and Italian mango Pana Cota for Pudding. Knife, fork and spoon as cutlery and the tea served in traditional English cup and saucer from English teapot. Faultless room service. Nice touches were the way they rolled up my charging cables and wrapped them in a leather strap. And noticing my glasses case they placed a glasses cleaning wipe to on top of it. And they remembered the room I stayed in several years ago. You will pay accordingly for all this but it is worth it and I will return.

From the moment we arrived at the airport and got picked with their Rolls Royce, the Peninsula exceeded our expectation. The in-room check-in process was seamless and welcoming, setting the tone for what became a flawless stay. Every member of the staff was genuinely warm, attentive, and professional, always going the extra mile without ever feeling intrusive. It’s rare to find service that feels both highly polished and sincerely personal, but this hotel achieved exactly that and we love it! The room was immaculate—beautifully designed, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged with every comfort in mind. The bed was incredibly comfortable, zero noise in the room and a silent air-condition. From the high-quality linens to the perfectly stocked amenities, everything reflected care and excellence. Even the small touches, like ambient lighting and subtle fragrance in the hallway, contributed to a luxurious and calming atmosphere. The facilities are impressive. Whether enjoying the exceptional Afternoon-Tea in the lobby or enjoying drinks in the bar with their lovely bartenders, every experience felt curated to perfection. Cleanliness was impeccable in every corner of the property, and the overall ambiance balanced sophistication with warmth. In every sense, this hotel delivered a truly perfect experience. It’s the kind of place that not only meets high expectations but redefines them and we will return next year.

There is a reason the Peninsula is the considered the best and most luxurious hotel in Hong Kong. Every part of this hotel just gives off a feeling of understated luxury. The room is incredibly big, especially for Hong Kong. Everything was well thought out and it has features (such as a fax machine, various stationaries for work) that most other hotels don't. Lights and curtains, etc. are all controlled by touchscreens and tablets, giving the room a very modern feel. The interior decor was also very nice. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Breakfast spread was excellent, one of the best in any hotels I've been to. Service was top notch. The location of this hotel is also very convenient. It is within walking distance (via underground subways) to Harbor City and K11 Musea. The MTR stop is right next door, and the A25 airport bus is across the street. You are in the middle of TST and across the street from the pier. The only negatives from our stay was that the AC filters need replacing. It was giving off a weird smell. Also I wish they had firmer pillows available. Also there is very limited seating in the Lobby due to the restaurant.

This is a review of a restaurant at this hotel and not of the hotel itself...I had morning coffee and cake at this restaurant while on a recent visit to Hong Kong...I was not disappointed.Service was prompt and efficient and the staff were very friendly and welcoming...The food was excellent....Prices were reasonable and I would be happy to return....Excellent experience.
