Before we made the booking we were deliberating how and in which hotel to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary and I must say we have not regretted our decision to choose the Regent. The Regent Team's customer service we experienced was top notch and nowadays the experience is all that separates the good from the excellent when the hardware can be replicated anywhere. We were particularly impressed with the attention to detail and personal touches the Regent was able to give us throughout our stay, not to mention the lovely complimentary celebratory cake delivered in person to our room and the breathtaking view of the Harbour on top floors! The Regent experience team have lived up to the name of the legendary Regent Hotel and it was very heartwarming as much as positively nostalgic to be able to feel that long-forgotten hospitality which Hong Kong was so famous for back in the 1980s. We liked the peaceful and calming ambience in the room especially the bathtub and the bathroom, one could feel immersed in time and tranquility right in the centre of the city. Amazing experience indeed.

Exceptional Hotel and Service — But Recurring Cigarette Smoke Issue I’ve stayed at The Regent Hong Kong several times, and overall, it’s a truly spectacular hotel. The location is unbeatable — right on the harbor with stunning views and convenient access to shopping and dining. The property is beautifully designed, the rooms are elegant and extremely comfortable, and the linens and pillows are top-notch. The breakfast buffet is outstanding — one of the best I’ve experienced anywhere — with incredible variety and quality. The lobby bar and the adjacent bar are both excellent, serving great food and cocktails in a stylish, relaxed setting. However, one issue has affected multiple stays: a strong cigarette smoke odor coming from the bathroom vent/drain (photo attached). I’ve experienced this in more than one room, and although I reported it to the front desk during a previous visit, the problem still persists. It’s disappointing because the hotel excels in every other area — service, comfort, design, and dining — but this ongoing ventilation issue detracts from an otherwise world-class experience. I truly hope management addresses it, because The Regent Hong Kong could easily be one of the best hotels in the city.

My 83 yo dad and I traveled from the US to Hong Kong last week and stayed at the Regent. Long long trip - and the Regent helped us quickly get over the trick and enjoy the city. High points: great bed, even better bath tub, view of the harbor, and excellent breakfast buffet. QUIET rooms. lovely hotel bar. Staff were professional and welcoming and we can't wait to go back!

Returning to 18 Salisbury Road for the first time in 10 years felt like coming home. From the moment we arrived, everything was just perfect. Jason made check-in extra special with his warm welcome—and a surprise cake sent up to our room to celebrate our return! The room (and that view over Victoria Harbour) is truly beyond words. Honestly, no words in the English dictionary could do it justice. We soaked it all in with a cozy in-room dinner during the Symphony of Lights, then headed down to Qura for a nightcap. At the bar, a lovely gentleman in a waistcoat (we didn’t catch his name!) went above and beyond—walking us through the drinks menu and making the whole section of the bar feel seen and appreciated. The cocktails, some of the best we have had in Hong Kong! From the pool to the dreamy beds to that heavenly Harbourside Breakfast—every moment at Regent Hong Kong was flawless. Can’t wait to be back! Huge thanks to the entire Regent Hong Kong team—you made our stay unforgettable.
