There are few hotels that are impactful beyond their utility. They are simply way more than just a place to stay. Even fewer that become, in themselves, a destination! The Upper House has held a special place in my heart from the perspective of a hospitality professional and a guest, though the latter is more aa one of returning ‘home’. It is clear that Kristina's efficient leadership ensures smooth operations that builds this oasis of calm, comfort and care within the almost hypnotic hustle-bustle of Hong Kong. The minimalist design of the property to the service design defined by attention to detail makes every aspect a perfect curation of the desired experience. The guest experience team led by Edward guarantees a warm and unforgettable welcome. With K Ma, Crystal, Betty, Angel, Alex, Josefine and Sofian enhancing the stay. Every moment from reservations and pre-arrival to the stay and departure have a flow that eases you into a sense of relaxation and comfort. They truly go above and beyond - helping you with reservations at restaurants around the cityscape of Hong Kong and booking events like Cirque du Soleil. The willingness and most importantly consistent ability to deliver immaculate service is non pareil. And the piece de resistance, for me, the restaurant and bar team - Patrick, Joyce, Mark, Evan, Ken, Gavin and Lina. The proverbial cherries on top who have unfailingly delivered on the evolution of Café Gray Deluxe to the now, Salisterra. The menu knowledge, presence of mind and attentiveness elevate the already captivating ambience to one of elegant comfort. Undoubtedly the stunning bird's eye view from the top floor of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon is one stellar aspect. However the cuisine curation, presentation, service with grace serves to complement it. To the TUH family, thank you for making this stay so special. It is you all that help define and build the pulse for the industry we call hospitality. Thank you for rekindling that fire for the industry and being brilliant story crafters. We chose The Upper House for a special 3-day getaway to celebrate our daughter’s 2nd birthday, and it exceeded all expectations. The location is incredibly convenient, the hotel ambiance is serene, and our room was not only stunning but also thoughtfully designed. The breakfast offerings were delicious, adding to the wonderful experience. A special thank you to **Edward Tang** for the incredible room arrangement for our little one—she absolutely adored it! She loved the balloons so much that she even insisted on sleeping with them. Housekeeping also deserves high praise; every day, we returned to a spotlessly clean and tidy room, which was such a relief after a long day out. This stay was truly memorable, and we can’t wait to return!

Staying at The Upper House always feels a bit like pressing pause on the world. The views from the suites are honestly something I never get tired of—there’s just something calming about watching the city from way up high, especially when the light changes in the evening. The design by Andre Fu is subtle but really beautiful. It’s not flashy, but you notice how everything just feels right—soft colors, comfortable spaces, and little details that make you want to slow down and breathe for a minute. What stood out most this time, though, was the staff. Pablo at the bar picked up on the fact that I wasn’t feeling great and suggested AG1 with Green Dream. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and it genuinely helped. Jacky at Salisterra and the GE team also went out of their way to give me some extra trial packs, which I really appreciated—sometimes it’s those small acts of kindness that make all the difference. All in all, The Upper House is one of those places that just gets under your skin in the best way—quiet, beautiful, and full of people who actually care how you’re doing.

Upper House is a beacon of refinement and effortless elegance in a world where garish passes for opulence. A true testament to the real world of seamless hospitality, smooth efficiency and flawless service. It truly upholds its name. We had the pleasure of staying in their suite on a family trip and everything about it made our stay memorable. The soft decor, the hush of precision and the warmth of the house members are commendable. It takes an extremely well functioning management - kudos to Ms Kristina Snaith- Lense and an efficient team to create such harmonious synchronicity. Right from the reservations team - Mr. Edward Tang, Ms Betty Lam, Ms Crystal Lai, Ms Josefine Groeller, Mr. Sofian Moustafa who constantly updated and accomodated our requests to other members who contributed towards this memorable stay deserve praise. The room was large, the panoramic view of the harbour - breathtaking. The housekeeping spotless. The tiny gifts - thoughtful and marked attention to detail. The Salisterra amplifies the immersive experience through their anticipation of guest needs, proficient product knowledge, excellent presentation and seamless service standards. A special mention for - Mark, Patrick, Joyce, Ken, Evan, Gavin and Lina who went above and beyond to make our dining experience wonderful. Even the yoga session with Ms Johanna was a delightful inclusion in our short stay. It takes a lot to create and maintain set standards.
