About the Hotel
The Upper House is a highly individualized small luxury hotel designed by Hong Kong architect Andre Fu. The hotel’s 117 rooms including 21 suites and 2 penthouses, start at 730 square feet, the largest in Hong Kong. Rooms and suites feature wonderfully spacious bathrooms and dressing areas, and offer either scenic harbour or island views. Calming and contemporary, the rooms are designed to provide a sense of relaxation, warmth and understated luxury. Exuding Warmth
The hardware in this famous hotel has always been a standout fixture. But the software, ie the warm hospitality extended by the guest experience managers was truly amazing and sincere. This distinguishes an exceptional hotel from a great one. So keep up the good work Sharon and Edward. Truly a credit to the “House” brand.

Memorable Celebration at The Upper House
I was invited for a celebration with a group of around 14 people at The Upper House. The room had an amazing view, with a spacious bathroom and walk-in wardrobe. The thoughtful gifts were a highlight — from the personalized robes to the useful black Upper House–branded bag. Having opened in 2009, the décor is now showing its age, but everything is still very well maintained. Service in the restaurant and bar was excellent, and breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. Gavin, Simon and Nick were very helpful and friendly. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay. The Upper House has a homely feel with friendly service — a great place for a celebration. I do miss Marcel too, now in New York, who always made visits here such a pleasure.

Another excellent stay at the Upper House. I have stayed here on several occasions, and I have never been disappointed - in fact, the level of service and attention to detail improves with each visit. Check in is seamless; the room is large with speculator views of the mountain; the food is world class including the in room dining options which are varied and always to a great standard; and the reception staff are so attentive and bring a personal touch to our stay. A particular thanks to Paul Stanton who is always thoughtful. Can’t wait to return soon.
