About the Hotel
The Upper House is a highly individualized small luxury hotel designed by Hong Kong architect Andre Fu. The hotel’s 117 rooms including 21 suites and 2 penthouses, start at 730 square feet, the largest in Hong Kong. Rooms and suites feature wonderfully spacious bathrooms and dressing areas, and offer either scenic harbour or island views. Calming and contemporary, the rooms are designed to provide a sense of relaxation, warmth and understated luxury. Memorable Celebration at The Upper House
I was invited for a celebration with a group of around 14 people at The Upper House. The room had an amazing view, with a spacious bathroom and walk-in wardrobe. The thoughtful gifts were a highlight — from the personalized robes to the useful black Upper House–branded bag. Having opened in 2009, the décor is now showing its age, but everything is still very well maintained. Service in the restaurant and bar was excellent, and breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. Gavin, Simon and Nick were very helpful and friendly. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay. The Upper House has a homely feel with friendly service — a great place for a celebration. I do miss Marcel too, now in New York, who always made visits here such a pleasure.

Another excellent stay at the Upper House. I have stayed here on several occasions, and I have never been disappointed - in fact, the level of service and attention to detail improves with each visit. Check in is seamless; the room is large with speculator views of the mountain; the food is world class including the in room dining options which are varied and always to a great standard; and the reception staff are so attentive and bring a personal touch to our stay. A particular thanks to Paul Stanton who is always thoughtful. Can’t wait to return soon.

A perfect stay!
During our honeymoon trip across Asia, my wife and I stayed at The Upper House for one night. We were blown away by the service, especially by Paul - not only did he kindly upgrade our room to a suite, he also ensured that every single detail was taken care of for us. We were even welcomed to our room with celebration balloons and a bottle of champagne! We loved everything about The Upper House and their amazing team, and we will certainly be back the next time we are in Hong Kong!
