작년에 이호텔에서 4박을 했습니다. 왠만하면 리뷰를 안남기는데-여행을 자주하고 좋아해서 하와이에 5성급 모든 호텔들은 다 가본거 같습니다- 하지만 check out 을 따로 안해주는곳은 첨은 보았어요. 보통 airport 가야해서 front에서 먼저 빨리 해주니까요. 먼저 저는 호텔 룸에서 express check out 하려고 전화를 하고 택시를 불렀습니다 하지만 front 에서는 제가 bar에서 2번 마셨다고 하더군요. 첫날 juice 마신건 사실이고 그다음부터는 전혀 안 마셨습니다. 전 그리고 술을 마시지 않습니가 하지만 제가 술도 마셨다해서 아니라고 하니, 그럼 Lobby 와야 한다고 하더군요. 전 모든 상황과 시간을 계획했었기에, Lobby 보낼 시간이 많이 없었습니다. 그래서 제가 front desk 에게 상황을 말하니 그래도 줄을 서야 한다더라구요. 어이가 없었지만 줄을 섰고, 영수증을 찾기 시작했습니다. 하지만 그 술을 마신 사람 이름은 제가 모르는 사람이고, 싸인도 달랐습니다 Last name 도 확인하지 않고 술을 준 사람 잘못도 있겠죠 하지만 그걸 처리하는 과정에서 front 의 행동은 무례함 자체였습니다. 전 공항에 늦게 가야했고 택시는 기다리고, 영수증보고 제가 아닌걸 확인하니 그때서야 하는말이 ‘그 전 객실 투숙자였나보다’라고 하네요??그게 가능할수가 없는게 전 4박을 했고 술을 마신 날이 그 사이에 있던 날이었으니까요. 전 너무 어이없고 황당했지만 사과조차도 못받았습니다. 하물며 절 도둑취급하는 뉘앙스하며,, 시간이 있었다면 제대로 따져서 혹시나 다른 한국인도 그런 피해가 없게 할텐데 공항에 가야해서 그냥 갔습니다. 돈을 떠나서 5성급 호텔에서 체크아웃을 그런 방식으로 하는곳은 처음봤고 그렇게 불친절한 staff들도 첨봤습니다.여기 리뷰보니 불친절했다해서 설마했는데, 거짓말까지 하는군요 1년이 다되가는 지금까지 안좋은 기억으로 남네요 check out 하실때 꼭 확인하세요.

We always visit the beach bar at the Moana Surfrider whenever we are in Waikiki - and we have generally experienced amazing service until today. It was a busy (but not packed) Friday lunchtime. The table had not been cleared or cleaned from previous occupants - after some time, the server finally arrived, in his haste to collect dirty dishes, he spilled a glass of iced water over my clothes, legs and feet, ran off to get more paper towels but instead went on to serve drinks to several other tables and did not return to assist, finish clearing, or take our order - when confronted before we walked out he said a rushed sorry and ‘ I was coming back’ - but we continued on our way unhappy. Look out for the server with the sun visor and long socks and choose another table with a different server.

Moana Surfrider is a wonderful Marriott brand hotel located on the Waikiki beach front, We enjoyed our stay here more so than at its sister property, Royal Hawaiian “Pink hotel”, down the street. The swimming pool is much larger here but we were so surprised that pool chairs get all taken so early in the morning. They provided us with beach chairs so we were able to sit on the beach. It was very convenient to walk on the beach to see the amazing sunset as well as hotel restaurants (Veranda & Beachhouse) have great food & ambience with ocean view. It’s so centrally located we walked everywhere and didn’t need a car. The room was very clean as you would expect from Marriott hotel and beds were very comfortable. We had an ocean view room with a balcony but the balcony was not accessible during our stay. The hotel offered us $100 credit each night, so that was a pleasant surprise. We love Marriott hotels and this is one of our favorite hotels.

We had the pleasure to enjoy the dinner and breakfast in your restaurant and we would like to mention that Jody made our experience with you incredibly beautiful. The warm welcome we got from her and the respect was something I will never forget. She is just amazing and I wish I would have the chance to see her again. The good itself was very nice and service was very good but again Jody was the one that made our experience with you AMAZING. She is wonderful

My husband and I were so looking forward to returning to Hawaii after 40 years. We chose the Moana Surfrider hotel on Waikiki Beach. We had booked our stay for 5 nights. What a disappointment! The hotel was not as advertised. It was dated and worn. The furniture in the lobby was grungy looking as were the carpets. The room was sub standard. There were hardly any amenities. Just a bar of soap and some body lotion. No shower cap. The worst part though was the fact that to get an umbrella and 2 chairs, we would have had to pay $100.00 USD per day. This is outrageous! We have been to many resorts all over the world and nowhere did they charge for chairs and umbrellas. On top of that it was impossible to even get a couple of chairs as they did not have enough for everybody. We ended up buying an umbrella at a store across the street and sitting on our towels at the beach. This was so disappointing. The prices at the hotel were also ridiculous. Breakfast was close to $50.00 USD , not $10.00 as they advertise on their website. The waiters at the bar were very surly. The pool is very small and not enough chairs to sit on. People wandered around the hotel in their swimwear and left puddles of water in the elevators. Altogether an unpleasant experience especially for the prices they charge!!
