We returned a week ago from 8 days on Oahu, staying at the beautiful Halekulani. We have traveled many times to Oahu and have now stayed at every Waikīkī hotel, except the Outrigger Reef. Our stay was exceptional in every way. We had a 12th floor oceanfront room - and the view was amazing. The room was tastefully decorated in an understated way - not detracting from the outdoor beauty. They were many outlets for personal devices - there was also a plethora of different hangers and abundant storage space. After check in, we were provided a quick tour of the hotel and then escorted up to our room where we were provided information on its features, along with the in room tablet provided. The tablet can be used to request housekeeping services, turndown, in room dining, etc. We dined several times at House Without a Key and Orchids - both exceptional experiences. Nightly music at HWOK was lovely and added to the overall ambience of the property. We rested around the pool several days and the service there is also stellar. Forget the days of pool chair Olympics - you check in with pool staff and they will find you a location of your liking. You will not find hotel guests saving chairs - doesn’t work that way here. Shout out to Alfredo - kind and attentive without being too much. And every time I called downstairs with a request, the phone was answered on the first ring. Also, kudos to Concierge Benito for her research on a special request I had. Valet staff were always available and ready to help with my husband who often needs a wheelchair. The Halekulani was everything - and more - than expected. I could go on and on - but suffice it to say, if I’m lucky enough to visit Oahu again, the Halekulani will be the only place I stay.

This is my third time staying at The Halekulani and I absolutely love it! It’s a beautiful hotel with lovely suites, fantastic restaurants, great food and live music at nights. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The food at La Mer and Orchids is delicious and I do highly recommend La Mer. The food and service were on par! The staff are all amazing and the cleaning staff work hard and are all so sweet. Every staff member seems to pay attention to details and make every guest feel welcome and important. I do recommend making reservations at the restaurants months in advance of your visit as a big tip for first time guests!

Another great trip to Halekulani. My husband and I had a.great trip with our son and future daughter in law. She ahd never been to Hawaii and it was a great introduction. I wasn't sure if she would like Waikiki and it's somewhat frenetic environment, but, like us, she really enjoyed the Waikiki vibe coupled with the very calm soothing environment at the Halekulani. Breakfast every morning at the Orchid's was a great way to start the day, we thoroughly enjoyed the pool and ocean as well as the small but well equipped gym. We all loved the Honolulu restaurant scene.

I rarely use the word Perfect in a review, but for Hotel Holekulani, I could use it in every sentence. This was our first time staying here. If you are in a rush checking reviews, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. Go book now. If you have a moment… We were greeted so warmly at check in and given an upgrade to a corner room on the 10th floor facing Diamondhead and the ocean in all directions. The room was spotlessly clean with a Japanese bidet toilet and soaking tub. The bed was very comfortable. We loved all the efforts at sustainability and found 2 reusable metal water bottles in our room which we used all week and took home as souvenirs. There is a very sweet, fun turndown service and the cleaning staff are lovely. As with all resorts, it helps to go by 7:30 am to get desirable poolside chairs in the shade. They have a super special set up with 2 chaise lounges, umbrella, and small table with 2 chairs so you can lounge or sit at a table to eat lunch poolside, and then back to lounge with your book! They put a fitted terry cloth cover over the chaise and leave you an extra large towel. The pool is filled with warm salt water and feels great on the skin. Each morning before breakfast we walked along the warm ocean sand toward the Sheraton and then LOVED the daily American +Japanese breakfast buffet with so many different items including very fresh papaya, the usual American breakfast, and miso soup, mochi pancakes and other fun treats. We booked 2 dinners at Orchids (our favorite restaurant on earth) and 2 at House Without a Key (more casual with live music and a sweet fun vibe every night). Bottom Line: if you desire a classy, elegant, no pretentious, perfect stay, the Hotel Halekulani is your place. I know it is mine.

We just returned from five nights at the Halekulani in Honolulu and it was incredible. The hotel, food, service and staff were wonderful… From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed, the staff could not do enough for us.

I have traveled to the Hawaiian islands many times and stayed in fine hotels on five Hawaiian islands, but never in all my experience have I encountered such remarkable guest service, hospitality, warmth, and consistent excellence that at Halekulani. At all times, guests are greeted by name by everyone. Any guest request or preference is accommodated immediately, and noted for the future. We were treated like celebrities... This hotel, from start to finish, is simply a class act.

We are accustomed to staying in luxury accommodations, yet the beauty of the Halekulani hotel was breathtaking. We were stunned by the warm, outstanding service. No effort was too great to assure our comfort!! Our every desire was satisfied. We were positively delighted by the romance and perfection of La Mer restaurant and the outrageous pampering spa services we received.

My wife and I this past December, 2004, stayed at the Halekulani Hotel in Hawaii. The trip was wonderful. The hotel was beautiful and serene, and the service at the hotel was unlike any we have experienced. I would recommend this trip to anyone.
