Luxury Houston staycation for Ben’s birthday—gorgeous suite, great food, and Colton the concierge made it unforgettable.
My boyfriend Ben and I recently spent two nights at the Thompson Hotel Houston in a luxury suite for a special staycation to celebrate his birthday — and it exceeded every expectation. Even though we’re both from Houston, we wanted a quick getaway that still felt indulgent and different, and the Thompson delivered. The suite was gorgeous — spacious, modern, and beautifully designed with incredible skyline views. It was the kind of space that made it easy to unwind and feel pampered without even leaving the room. A special shoutout to Colton, the concierge, who went above and beyond for us throughout our stay. He was thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely made everything smoother — from helping us plan birthday surprises to offering great local tips, even for lifelong Houstonians like us. We also took advantage of the hotel’s amenities and on-site dining, which were just as elevated as the room. From start to finish, the experience felt like a luxury escape right in our own city. We’ll absolutely be back — and recommending it to friends for their own Houston staycations.

Great time at Thompson!
Had an amazing stay at the Thompson Houston. So much to do at any given time and they provide transportation to locations under 3 miles! The staff was extremely accommodating and ensured our stay was nothing less than perfect. I would like to give extra kudo to Darius for going above and beyond as our pool side server and Mercell for driving us to our dinner and always having a fun positive vibe every time we saw him. Would definitely come back again in the future

This was such an amazing experience! The hotel staff has been amazing! We booked a cabana and had an amazing time. The rooms were beautiful and cleaned daily. The property has so much to do. Shout out to Argel on the valet team and pur conciege Colton.
