Reviews for Sir Joan Hotel

Stylish Escape

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 months ago

Sir Joan offers a chic boutique hotel experience, located just a short walk away from the vibrant hub of Ibiza town, with its restaurants, bars, shops, and cultural attractions. Its proximity to both the marina and Talamanca Beach adds to its convenience. The stylishly designed rooms create a homely atmosphere, complete with thoughtful touches such as a Bluetooth speaker, coffee machine and upscale toiletries, encouraging guests to feel at ease. A standout feature is the tranquil oasis created by breakfast served by the pool each day, providing a serene escape from the lively atmosphere of Ibiza town. The three-tiered platter, known as "the stack," features a delightful assortment of crudités, dips, ham, sausage, cheese, fruit, and pastries. Additionally, guests can choose from a variety of cooked breakfast options, power bowls, açai bowls, and more. The hotel also boasts a connected burger restaurant, allowing for a lowkey meal with food delivered poolside. Guests enjoy additional perks, such as the ability to borrow beach towels and city bikes at no extra cost. The hosts at Sir Joan go above and beyond to make guests feel at home, always really friendly and genuinely really interested to hear about your day. One of our Hosts, Ariana, gave us a personalized 1-to-1 session to highlight the best experiences the island has to offer which was invaluable given it was our first time in Ibiza. In summary, Sir Joan Hotel strikes the perfect balance for an upscale, yet homely and quiet stay, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a sophisticated yet trendy and comfortable retreat in the heart of Ibiza.

A great place to be with some disturbing details you need to be aware of

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 months ago

Great place to go, with a warm design and very friendly staff. The breakfast is really the best! A magnificent start of a lazy day at Ibiza. The only down site is that this hotel is located at a very busy roundabout where a lot of traffic is passing. was not aware that so many people where moving around on this island 24/7. This noice of trucks, loud motor cycles and cars is all over present in the garden but also on your bedroom, despite the noice canceling windows. And why dear designer of this beautiful place not a separate light switch for the bathroom. If you are traveling by yourself no problem to put the lights on, but if you are together you need to awaken your partner in the middle of the night with a room full of light. Seriously?!

Beautiful Hotel with Warm Staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 months ago

¡MIL GRACIAS! I came here with a friend for a few days and we had the most wonderful time. The staff were so lovely and fun, they treated us like royalty! They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, with a glass of cava and a warm welcome. Housekeeping kept our room beautifully clean and we had fabulous views. They even gave us some local treats to celebrate the Sircle 10 year anniversary! The breakfast was to die for and the pool area is perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed ourselves so much we have booked to return next week! Can’t wait to be back, thank you Sir Joan Team!

Outstanding

Simply one word; OUTSTANDING! From the second we arrived to when we left, staff could not do enough for you and were quite literally some of the happiest friendliest I have ever met in hospitality. We would not hesitate to recommend and look forward to revisiting.

Dirty, run down, 3 star experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 months ago

Where do I begin. Let’s start with the positives…the location is central and the staff was very nice. The hotel however was awful. Run down, dirty, and way past its renovation date. We paid $2400/night for the “penthouse” which was borderline criminal. Filthy grout lines, burn marks on rug, weird bathroom setup with no counter space. There were countless items in the room such as lights and buttons that were broken. The view was nice but the patio was run down and parts of the deck falling apart. Beware this is not a 5 star hotel nor is the service. Our stay started with missing a connecting flight and missing the first night. We gave the hotel plenty of notice but they charged us full price and offered no concessions whatsoever despite me asking the manager if she would work with us if we extended our stay. Despite paying for the first night the room was 100 degrees when we arrived and took over an hour to cool down. It was infested with at least 5 flies. Lastly the pool setup is tiny and the restaurant very mediocre. We canceled as much of our stay as possible and moved down the street to a suite at the Gran Hotel for half the price.
