Surrounded by lush rainforest, this pastel-pink hideaway grants exclusive access to the park—minus the crowds. Seeing the falls in near solitude is magical, but we offer more than just a great location. Step through our doors into a world of understated luxury. Soak up the jungle chorus while you float in the pool, stroll gardens bejewelled with orchids and sip caipirinhas as the sun goes down. Embark on the ultimate adventure at South America's first and only Forbes Five Star hotel, and you’ll never want to leave.

A new chapter unlocked at an unforgettable place. Cataratas will forever hold a special significance in our hearts.

Our stay at The Belmond only added to the amazing experience of visiting Iguazu Falls! Prior to our rival, I made multiple arrangements with the hotel concierge and restaurants and was always met with gracious and timely service. We arranged for airport pick up which was seamless and then were welcomed warmly by the guest relations team. Special shout out to Stephanie!! Our junior suite was large, immaculate, double sinks, walk in closet, extremely comfortable bed, every amenity, quiet, the list goes on. Due to weather changes, we changed our touring excursions more than once and the concierge team happily did so using What’sApp. We enjoyed our breakfast, one lunch and three dinners and thought they were fairly priced. The hotel is simply gorgeous and it’s awesome to be able to walk across the lane and see the MAGNIFICENT falls. The experience wasn’t cheap, but as someone else recently said, if you can afford it, you will be happy you did so. Yes, breakfast service was a tad slow one of our three days but every other meal or trip to the bar was top knotch.

The location is stunning, but our dining experience fell short due to poor communication. We were surprised by a R$117 fee to enter the premises—something not mentioned during booking or on the website, and when we asked for a receipt, the staff told us to “take your money back and come back next time.” We were also asked for passport photos at the gate, which felt unusual and wasn’t explained in advance. We had already visited the national park the day before, but the hotel couldn’t accommodate that. Lastly, the à la carte menu shown online wasn’t available—only a buffet was offered. A clearer and more transparent process would greatly improve the guest experience.

Superb hotel, great and clean rooms, very friendly & helpful staff, great breakfast & bar, superb location inside the National Park of Iguazu, with amazing views on the Iguazu Falls, really a top hotel, thus very recommandable!

From start to finish we were made to feel very special. We arrived 4 hours before scheduled check in. Not a problem, a room was available very quickly. Our room was divine, very comfortable bed and very effective black out cutysibs. Nice touches like havianas flip flops, free mini bar and insect repellent spray. Great free guided tour of the falls at 7.30 (before park opens to the public). Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Didn’t have time to use the pool but it liked very welcoming. It’s not cheap but it’s a must treat if you want to make your trip memorable

We stayed at Hotel Cataratas at the end of our 17 days in Brazil. A perfect ending. Our room was charming and comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel neglected to make arrangements for our transport from the airport (which was included in our LL package), but they made up for the error many times over during our stay, including a complementary guide when we visited the Iguassu Falls on the Argentina side. The location of the hotel also provides access to the viewing trails for the falls during hours when the park is closed to other tourist. A real bonus that is not available to those staying in the hotel in the Argentinian park. Next time I stay at Hotel Cataratas I'll coordinate my trip with a full moon!
