Rustic… Rustic Inn Creekside Resort

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at The Rustic !! Nice cozy cabins and nice scenery if situated creekside. Breakfast was excellent with warm/cold food options. Nice 3 block walk to main square or one can go to front desk for shuttle ride. Also staff is very attentive, Wyatt & Alex. Would definitely recommend staying here !

SLEEPLESS IN JACKSON

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

DON’T EXPECT TO SLEEP. The maid service kills this place. Normally I disconnect the bedside alarm because very often the prior room occupant seems to be someone who likes to wake up at 4am. But you cannot disconnect these alarms since they are also the electrical hub for your phone charger (and the plug is behind the bed, in the middle, impossible to get at). The Maids will RESET your “alarm” AFTER you have turned it off, setting it Again to 6AM IN THE MORNING. I switched it off TWICE and they RESET IT TO “ON” … TWICE… to 6AM IN THE MORNING. And because there are windows with NO CURTAINS, it is Impossible to get back to sleep. But Not To Worry: The same damn maids will knock on your door for “Housekeeping” at 7.30 am IF you are successful in dozing back off. It’s closer to an early morning “Rause!” At a work-camp than it is a “relaxing vacation”. IF YOU WANT A GOOD AND FULL NIGHT’s SLEEP, STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. Also: The same “helpful maids” helped themselves to a Half a Bottle of Remy Martin Cognac left in the room. I cannot believe anyone would consider a HALF A BOTTLE of COGNAC something you should throw away. My guess is they drank it in the afternoon so they could train on how they planned to ruin everyone’s sleep the next morning.

Great place in so many ways.

The Inn is great—clean rooms, wonderful shower, attentive staff, delicious food.. Just a overall charming place. They have a HUGE wine selection. The breakfast buffet, included with room, was outstanding. We stayed for 2 nights as we toured Gand Teton.

Room directly on the street - poor customer service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We booked through booking.com, which charged us twice. This is not Rustic Inn’s fault but they were insistent on billing me even as I canceled the second room in advance. They then put us in a room directly on the street, nowhere near nature. It is loud and you hear traffic starting at 5 am. The response from the desk was that this is not a review they get. So now I am giving it. The rooms by the road are terrible. The service by the hotel rivals it.

They can do better

We picked up our keys, parked the car & pulled our bags to our cabin. The 5 foot sidewalk to our cabin had not been shoveled of the 4” of recent snow. I went back to the office, asked to have our sidewalk shoveled. A worker came in about 5 minutes & shoveled the walk, leaving the snow on the 2 steps to the porch. I brushed that off as I could with my boots. The snow partially thawed and melted into the sidewalk. We had received a text from “our” concierge asking if we needed anything. I responded asking for Ice Melt so we didn’t get hurt falling on the icy steps and sidewalk. When we returned to our cabin a MINIMAL amount of Ice Melt had been scattered, as if management didn’t have enough to do it right. For the two days of our stay we dealt with icy steps & sidewalks. NOT SATISFACTORY. Breakfast was wonderful, except for two things: 1) cold coffee, and 2) steep steps to the breakfast room. Very difficult for my 81 year old husband with a cane to get up the steps - no alternate way to the breakfast room. That’s right - it’s 2024 & there is no way to get to breakfast without dealing with 8 or 9/steep steps. We have stayed here for years & this has always been a problem. But we like the property. Disappointing … for a lovely location with comfortable, quiet cabins.
